Just read your thread on ML. Your horizontal chrome slatted grille is like mine for a "normal" 4.2. The executive GT had a chrome fence like grille, and the Sport GT a black fence like grille. You've also said that your sport GT is an auto rather than duoselect, so it's a very unique example!Not to be outdone by Dennis, picked my my QPV project car today as well! Mechanically sound (it’s a Sport GT ZF Auto), but a very long list of little things to keep me busy. Including getting rid of the ridiculously low profile tires.

She is an odd bird, but ticked all the boxes for what the Mrs and I were looking for. I’m off on vacation this week but somewhat obsessing about getting back to fixing up the QP!

Let's see...drove the Coupe, since there's rain in the forecast for tomorrow. Which meant...installing shiny new wiper blades on the QP so I can drive it tomorrow! Also replaced the battery in a QP key fob and that's working now...

Drove the QP sedately - via Lancashire's new average speed route. To rescue friend in GLC AMG 63s with misfire. The ODB 11 reader still in glovebox after my own issues with number 7 coil pack. Seems that same gremlins infect German engineering too.

QP all day...new windshield wipers did the trick. Expired P-Zeros made sure there was plenty of sliding, barking, and lack of grip. Hence Contis to be fit tomorrow. Also ordered complete service kit from FD to arrive next week...perhaps I can get some proper pics this weekend.
