How to remove Air Dam/Conveyor on QPV?

On the diagram at the link here, it seems the QP has a different arrangement and the tabs all around the front edge are what seem to secure it. It looks to me that you should be able to lever the air dam lower lip up and over the protrusions of the front bumper piece, then wiggle it out?

How to remove Air Dam/Conveyor on QPV?

I can't comment on a QP, but on my GT there were a few obvious bolts to remove and then the thing just yanked out...

    Garage Shelving

If you don't have the room to have floorstanding shelves (like me), and you have solid walls to mount to (e.g. breeze block), I've used the metal 'twin slot' style bracket shelving system from B&Q for over a decade now. You could sit on the shelves, they're that solid. Just use decent rawl...

    DIY Brakes.

Sadly that looks comparable to every set of brakes I've taken apart on something 10+ years old. On the plus side, they are all thick chunks of steel and the fact that the surfaces look like they've been sat on the seabed with the Titanic will have little impact, provided the caliper seals and...

    Broken coil spring

I understand they're all like that - mine certainly are. I also read somewhere that you shouldn't attempt to adjust them to lower the car or anything, because the world will explode or something.

    GTS Grill Refurb

As everyone says, it's all in the prep. That and very light coats!

    GTS Grill Refurb

Haha, I saw some evidence of a previous glue repair! I'd highly recommend that JB weld stuff, should you ever need to glue the Aston back together!

    GTS Grill Refurb

I painted the metal mesh, but the plastic surround part is that quite malleable, rubbery plastic that felt like it would be better to 'back to black' rather than paint. Plus it was so pockmarked with stone chips that to prep it properly for a decent paint job would have resulted in more filler...

    GTS Grill Refurb

Took a bit of time, granted, but when I looked at new grills they seemed to be about £800! And any second hand ones i saw didn't look any better nick than mine.

    GTS Grill Refurb

I then hit it with numerous fine coats of basic Halfords satin black: The sun was pretty bright and the camera struggles to pick out the finish, but it looks beautifully inky black and smooth: Chrome trim reattached and slapped back onto the car, and I must say it's a huge improvement...

    GTS Grill Refurb

Now I'm no expert at this sort of thing, which is exactly why I'm posting this - on the off chance this motivates someone else to have a go. I removed my grill to gain access to change my front emblem, and in doing so noticed how tired it was looking, with faded plastic, red stripes turned...

    Anybody watching Chernobyl on Sky

Yes, that makes up part of the 200 or so total. Fair point, though I bet you could say that about every industry in the USSR. Major nuclear incidents are hard to cover up though - the fallout is a bit of a tell-tale (Swedish health physicists alerted the world to the full extent of the...

    Anybody watching Chernobyl on Sky

Yes, and the expense is very much due to the difficulties in meeting the UK regulators' safety expectations. 200 directly attributable to radiation (again, from memory). 30-odd of those happened during or immediately after Chernobyl. I understand that there was sort of a reverse placebo...

    Anybody watching Chernobyl on Sky

I can't comment on Russian nuclear power but the 'blase' comment couldn't be further from the truth. The UK regulatory environment is almost excessively rigid - witness how difficult it is to build new nuclear plant in the UK right now. Without wanting to belittle the obvious dangers, credible...
