    SOLD! - 2009 Granturismo Sport MC 4.7

Yeah, really was expecting I'd have to resort to an auction site or whatnot (losing quite a bit of money in fees), but guess I got lucky to have a couple of interested parties at the right time.

    SOLD! - 2009 Granturismo Sport MC 4.7

Let me know if you want any more info. The difference between mine and an eBay special is that it's just been inspected by a highly respected specialist (who've known the car for 5 years) and any imperfections are completely transparent. And it's a known car: it's had just 2 fastidious owners...

    SOLD! - 2009 Granturismo Sport MC 4.7

I've regretted selling quite a few cars over the years (Corrado VR6, E46 M3, Lotus Exige all stand out - and all of which are worth more now than when I sold them!). I'm sure it'll be the same this time, but ultimately until I win the lottery and build an underground 10-car garage and retire, I...

    SOLD! - 2009 Granturismo Sport MC 4.7

Thanks so much for the comments all. Seems like £20-23k is probably what the market thinks is about right - plenty on sale for more but I suspect they've been on sale for a while. Surprised they've gone that low - surely there can't be much more depreciating to do! Same could be said for...

How to remove Air Dam/Conveyor on QPV?

On the diagram at the link here, it seems the QP has a different arrangement and the tabs all around the front edge are what seem to secure it. It looks to me that you should be able to lever the air dam lower lip up and over the protrusions of the front bumper piece, then wiggle it out?

How to remove Air Dam/Conveyor on QPV?

I can't comment on a QP, but on my GT there were a few obvious bolts to remove and then the thing just yanked out...

    Garage Shelving

If you don't have the room to have floorstanding shelves (like me), and you have solid walls to mount to (e.g. breeze block), I've used the metal 'twin slot' style bracket shelving system from B&Q for over a decade now. You could sit on the shelves, they're that solid. Just use decent rawl...

    DIY Brakes.

Sadly that looks comparable to every set of brakes I've taken apart on something 10+ years old. On the plus side, they are all thick chunks of steel and the fact that the surfaces look like they've been sat on the seabed with the Titanic will have little impact, provided the caliper seals and...

    Broken coil spring

I understand they're all like that - mine certainly are. I also read somewhere that you shouldn't attempt to adjust them to lower the car or anything, because the world will explode or something.

    GTS Grill Refurb

As everyone says, it's all in the prep. That and very light coats!

    GTS Grill Refurb

Haha, I saw some evidence of a previous glue repair! I'd highly recommend that JB weld stuff, should you ever need to glue the Aston back together!
