How to remove Air Dam/Conveyor on QPV?

Alright, so in the spirit of killing several birds with one stone... 1) Repairing the air dam/conveyor 2) Replacing the front oval badge 3) Replacing the air horns 4) Repairing/refurbishing the front grill, I was able to remove the front grill this AM and find it's had a really tough life... but I cannot get any further removing the air dam/conveyor.

I removed the engine bay lower plastic shroud thinking it might be bolted in from the above - but it's not. Judging by the clips I should be able to push the air dam in, towards the car to free it - but it won't budge.

Any ideas?

On the diagram at the link here, it seems the QP has a different arrangement and the tabs all around the front edge are what seem to secure it.

It looks to me that you should be able to lever the air dam lower lip up and over the protrusions of the front bumper piece, then wiggle it out?

Thanks Davey, I admit I was in a rush at the time but I was surprised that no matter what force I applied and from any direction it wouldn’t budge.

I’ll try again over the weekend when I have more time and report back.

did same job on my 2006 QP and seem to recall there were several screws. The plastic shroud might have been in two pieces. Cannot find pictures, so maybe it went well.

Thanks. My shroud is definitely one piece, like this one on eBay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/173964720696

There are two locating lugs/bolts at the top of the shroud, but even these aren’t fixed into place (car mounted brackets) due to whatever impact took place.

suspect yours is a facelift car. (that badge is thicker) which could well have changed. Sorry - good luck.

Had this confirmed from the horse's mouth this afternoon - to remove this part from a GTS involves taking the front bumper off. Shelving that idea for now then...

I managed to refurb mine with it in situ using a sheet of vinyl wrap in gunmetal grey. Hair dryer and a bit of patience and it looks spot on now - I'll try and get a photo up when we get back from the Tea Party

Please do! In situ repair vs bumper off is certainly more appealing..
