    Rear Suspension parts?

Hi there, I've found that Hill Engineering make a radius arm bearing, so I've ordered one of them. I'm told that the play in the upper balljoint usually goes away when the radius arm bearing is changed so we'll see after that. Thanks for the responses. Alan

3200/4200 Rear Suspention Toe-in Link Bearings

Hi Dave, I need the bearing and spacers for the RHS on my 2003 Coupe, do you have enough room in your order, by any chance? Alan

    Rear Suspension parts?

Hi All, While chasing some suspension problems, I've found that the right hand rear of my Coupe has play in the balljoint in the upper arm, and in the joint on the end of the tie-rod. Is there a chealer alternative to these than the Maserati parts (Eurospares 196779 whole upper arm, tie rod...

    Quattroporte Clutch

Hi there, It's a 2003 car. I did swap hubs and sensors before using second-hand parts, and it worked for a few years, just that this one has gone dead. It still has the right resistance but clearly isn't good...the guys at Autofficina checked the car for me. It is a risk that the replacement...

    Quattroporte Clutch

Hi there, I've been away for a while busy on other stuff, and am taking my 4200 for an ABS sensor swap next week. The mechanic has done some work on Maseratis before but asked a non-related question: does the engine need to come out to change the clutch on a QP? I would have thought it'd be...

    DBW module for sale

Hi All, I bought this in the Group Buy via the Maserati Forum getting on for two years ago and have never fitted it...it would make sense for someone to make use of it. I paid around $1000 for it at the time, and it's still in its box. Made for a 4200 CC, 2003 model. Any offers...

Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Hi, Here are a couple of pictures of the relays in case anyone's interested. The fist one is of the relay socket in my car (2003 4200) and the second is of three relays, on the left the 5-pin Tyco one from the car, in the middle the wide-blade 4-pin Alfa part that won't fit my socket, and on...

    Suspension shims.

Hi Miles, Looking from the back of the car, there are two U brackets that are bolted to the subframe on each side and provide the pivot point for the lower wishbone, the shims go in between those and the subframe. The rear one on the right on my car keeps coming loose, that's how I know about...

Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Hi Loz, Maybe you could post a photo of the base? I assume the Alfa relay is the 4 terminal one with the wide tabs? Perhaps someone put a different relay socket in my car then, it's a 2003 car. Anyway, with a little manipulation it worked. Cheers, Alan

Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Hi All, Re the F1 pump relay, I bought one of the Alfa ones that Loz reported, p/n 11130287, and they are 4-pin as opposed to 5-pin on my car, however the 4 pins are all that's needed as the extra pin is the 87a that would be the normally closed contact. The other difference is that the...

    3200 AC on ebay

I saw this one when it was on sale at the salvage yard. It had been swiped across the front, left to right, and the front of the car had moved at least a half-inch relative to the rear. Both front wings needed replacement due to distortion at the bottom of the A posts and the obvious damage up...

    4200 Ebay

It's also a 4WD version! Sometimes people put stuff on eBay without a reserve to encourage bidding, if it doesn't reach what they want they'll pull it at the last minute. Very few really good deals on eBay, although I got my Coupe there and think it was a great deal. Alan

    Replacement windscreen

I read this post on Monday lunchtime with the car waiting to go for a retest at the MOT station, and after they failed to find time for it set off home on the A316...30-40 mph, a stone flew up and hit the windscreen with a crack putting a 5p sized craze in it. Shouldn't have read it...

    1971 Indy basket Case

Oh well, he was careful not to show any of that on eBay! I'd rather a 3500GT anyway...:-) What a waste though...if the story's correct he's bought it and then just let it rot away... Alan
