I had Blackstar belting out earlier but am finding I am going to ave to listen to all my favourites again to hear the improvement
50 years from now real hifi, train sets, cars with petrol engines will all be in museums, young people buy hifi based on what it looks like not how it soundsWell - I collected a fair few brochures and pens at the hi-fi show. But just like all the other attendees (predominantly white middle aged men in anoraks and annoying back packs), I didn’t buy any actual hi-fi.
What did surprise me was just how good some very modestly sized speakers can sound. Shame I don’t “need” a pair...

If you go to any car show apart from chavfest it's all men aged 50+ and their reluctant wives, whenever I see anything to do with model railways it's the same.
Good example of whatObvs!
Maybe. I'm not so sure. You're a good example

That is so bizarre it has to be coolCouldn't resist agreeing a deal on a classic turntable earlier this morning. I'll collect it tomorrow evening.
It's a Transcriptor Hydraulic Reference, made under license by J.A.Michell in the early 1970's, and as used by Stanley Kubric in A Clockwork Orange. An uber-cool partner for the Michell amps recently acquired.
(The one I've bought is slightly different, as has larger black pads on the gold weights. The photo below is one I just took off Ebay to show as an example.)

No panic - it comes with a pot of new fluid. And it works."hydraulic fluid should be replaced; if it hasn’t already, it will have solidified into goo."
"If you do pay full price for one, make sure it works properly and maintains its speed; otherwise, you’ll find yourself using it only as a lovely addition to your bijou modernist living area!"

good point , well madeAll 3 ?
ather than Sonos and Spotify.
I asked my mate who works at AMS Neve in Burnley and he asked a couple of Neve analogue originals, Robin Porter and John Turner who he works with. They didn't recognise anyone but thought it could be from the new digital division. I don't know if they kept the analogue and digital divisions separate. Digital was obviously never going to catch on.
