ooooo! Alpapcas! Tell me more!
Eb
Hey, Eb (et. al)...our little farm here has had chickens and ducks for a while; dabbled in some cattle meat production with partners...decided to explore some other livestock options. Ruled out pigs, as a friend of mine's brother was eaten by some...and for other reasons. Got three male pygmy goats...no clue why. Wife started getting into fiber art, one thing led to another...and we met a lovely-ish 85 year old woman who was looking to thin her Huacaya herd, and a dude who had a solitary, lonely, and confused Suri...and one shearing season and one breeding season under our belts! Not quite sure where it's going...but they are quirky, docile, and full of personality. They respect borders to the extent that a piece of string stops them cold; the mating ritual will scar some of us for life; and seeing their faces paralyzed in crazy positions (temporarily) after getting into a spitting fight...absolutely hypoallergenic; no odor; and they even decide on a communal wasting area. And their dung can go straight into whatever, no composting or aging required...we got 10' tall tomato plants in five gallon buckets filled with nothing but 'paca poo...

Good morning everyone!
Waking up in a very wet Southampton, and loving the sound of the rain. About to head to Bournemouth where I'll set up office for the day so that we can go and look at our two wedding church options this evening and make a decision.
HapPea Thursday!

That's a lot to take in on a Thursday morning. Do they malfunction often? Friends with beasts seem to be forever paying vet bills.

Well I am so proud of Dan with his GCSE results that I am going to shout about it here. 12 exams and 12 A Stars. Now he clearly he doesn’t get that from me …
Good man, huge congratulations to him! What's next for the lad?

Morning, all. Umm. Stuff, mostly, I think.

Wow! That's an amazing set of results so do let him know that we're all congratulating him.
Also, to anyone else with children getting results - congratulations to them too, whatever they achieve, so long as they do themselves proud. Not many people get to be straight A*'s ever!!!

What does Dan want to aim for next in his studies, and possible further education?

Morning all! Will do on alpaca thread...happy Thursday. Working from home all day with back to back calls ans video meetings. Then a walkaround in prospective new location I found for a local nonprofit that refurbs bicycles and teaches underprivileged kiddos how to ride them. And dinner at a tapas joint with the fam after, so I don't have to cook tonight!

Morning all. Just. Sat in Malta airport for a plane home which is 2 hours delayed.
As we’re in Hard Rock Cafe, I’m guess lunch will cost more than the previous 7 days…..

Brilliant! And congratulations also to his school and teachers, as they’ve clearly played their role well. I suspect good parenting as well!
