I am going to try and bring the Opel, it's in bits at the moment and I am waiting on parts from germany but there is a slim chance it will be ready. Ok I ak going to get some strange looks at an Italian day.

The Italian Car Day at Ace on the 14th May begins at 11am and finishes at 4pm.

How about we meet at Ace between 10am and 11am to get parking spots, then maybe stick around until mid-afternoon to see what else turns up, maybe to around 2 - 3pm, then we can take a drive over to the Malt Shovel at Iver for afternoon beverages and food?

If everyone's up for this I'll give Ace and the Malt Shovel a bell to let them know we're coming.

Cheers, Em.

Ah. That Saturday, the 14th, is Petrolhead Nivana's Dad's Day out event at Dunsfold.

So, I'm unable to make it.

Oh well. Here's to the Autumn meet!

Hi Matt, The Malt don't have rooms, but the Heathrow hotels are only a few miles away, so a short cab ride? Otherwise we could look for another venue with accomodation?

Seriously though, anyone else thinking of making a lads night of it, if so we will see if we can get some cheap rooms somewhere?

Dont want to be the only one blowing the froth off a few!

I tell you what might not be a bad shout is a camping trip, I know its a rough, but camping I mean not caravans, my car will fit in my tunnel tent and still have room for the 4 or us to sleep.

Just a thought for a bit of diversity, or how about Santa Pod?

Camping at Santa Pod!!!

God, that brings back some memories!

Definitely up for a lads night / curry / overnighter.

Not too sure about the camping though?

We could do it on the same weekend as Stanford Hall? Get together on the Saturday (4th June) for copious curry infused libations and then Stanford on the Sunday?

Thoughts?.............

Hi Just looked at the date of 14th May and that ACE Cafe was mentioned - be warned FA Cup Final Wembley, same day!!!

The traffic will be very very bad in the area of NW10/HA9 - be warned!!

Yeah, YHTM mentioned this also. Rather hoping that if we get there early'ish, and can be away (heading out of London) between 2 and 3 that we'll miss the worst of the traffic?

Fingers crossed!

The kick off will be 3pm so the roads will be quiet for about the next 2 hrs so should not be an issue.

Agreed getting there early is a good idea aim for 11 am.

We better firm up the plans are we staying over and making a night of it?....I am up for it.

Ok there is a Travel lodge that will do a twin or singles for £40 which is 1.2 miles from the pub which is 20 mins walk sober/1hr 40mins if beered up (via the kebab shop and 24hr garage)

Anyone else interested in making a night of it? If not I might go home via Brighton and see how Dem is holding up on his stag doo.

Just bumping this one, as its only days away, ill send out an email tonight to everyone. Its FA cup final day with kick off at 3pm so the Ace Cafe area will be a no go area from 12-3 then 5 onwards so leaving Ace at 3 will be a sensible idea.

Ace Cafe 10-3, then convoy to The Malt Shovel for dinner 4-onwards, then Travelodge for those who want to have a few beers in the evening sun.

There is talk of staying over and having a few beers, just a Travelodge or something fairly inexpensive.

Can I have final numbers and Ill book something:

1. Conaero - Attending Ace 10-3 - Attending The Malt Shovel 4-11 - Staying over
2. Emtee - Attending Ace 10-3 - Attending The Malt Shovel 4-11 - Staying over
3. Enzo
4. Lozcb
5. 2b1ask1
6. RSM Masser
7. BFGTA
8. Elliott
9 Urban Maser
