Calling all QPV GTS Fans...

No it was a 4.7 S with GTS wheels and front grill which the previous owner had put on the QP at considerable cost. But to look at, it was in stunning condition had full service history and MOT. But irrespective I just couldn't shift it. Finally sold it in February as part of a part ex deal for a 9 month old Merc. But for whatever reason the QPs seem to be just really hard motors to sell irrespective of condition and mileage etc...
I think I recall the car coming up again recently. It did look lovely. I sense the issue is a very small marketplace. If only 3 people are looking and in no hurry and there are 10 cars on the market, it is tough. I suspect there are times when nobody is in the buying cycle! Since lockdown, there has been a marked increase in interest in specialist cars and good ones have sold at a premium really quickly. A nice QPV GTS that doesn't need £5-10k spending will probably fly in the current market. I bet this will be gone before September. Timing is everything!

Looks a great car.
Seems we have reached the point now where a sorted QP V GTS is now worth more than a newer QP VI GTS. I’m sure the same will apply soon with the equivalent S version of both too.

The sublime style, NA engine and rarity of the V being more of a draw than the extra performance, and newer tech, of the later model.

I agree. Ive tried to find out whose bought it now ( original reg RX59CKA) but it seems to have disappeared from the face of the Maserati earth. Probably on private plates now?

Love the colour combo. Agree the brown seatbelts are not to my personal taste and black or cream would be to my preference.

Nice longer paddles too. Are these stock or upgraded?

If it were mine I'd be going grey on the alloys rather than the silver but again just personal preference.

No variator issues as a later car and not much to dislike on this one. Maybe mileage a bit higher than some others but these cars will do double that and way more in their stride IMHO.

If the price was the same as the XJL it would be a tough call. The XJL is massively faster but that is not what these cars are about. The QPV is a better drivers car than the XJL.
All the QPV GTS' had long paddles out of the factory, but this one seems to have been treated to the extra CF option covering the paddles and gauge pods.

My 4.2L GTS had the shorter paddles but the 4.7S appeared to be equipped with greater standardisation. The 4.2L GTSs were a mixmatch of parts with no real consistency.

Sorry Chris, I should have added to my previous post 'facelift' QPV GTS models feature the longer paddles... not sure what was stock on the 4.7S.

My 4.7S non GTS QP had the shorter paddles too so the longer shifters must have beena standard GTS feature and an option for standard fare cars.

Although I’d certainly never argue the 4.7S could or should ever be classified as ‘standard’ fare! :)

The Rosso Fuoco GT S Roman's had a few years ago was the rarest of them all. I came close to buying it but think it will surface soon.

Next one is up. Coming thick and fast now!

Older than the last one but lower miles. Just 2 owners too, which is fairly unusual I think.
Full Mafia spec, everything is black. As you would expect, looks good. Same price as last one.

Thanks for the mention. It is in just as good a condition as the one we sold two weeks ago. Last owner had it 8 years, always garaged, serviced over and above the required intervals too. Drives incredibly well, I do love a good QP GTS.

Common as muck!!

Seriously @dickygrace you must have had most of the UK QPV GT S's pass through your hands at some point... it's interesting that we go through periods where none are for sale, and then all of a sudden we have a couple of gems come through in quick succession. 2 previous owners on this one! That is virtually unheard of... again, I don't expect this one to be up for sale long.

@Devonboy what about this one to add to your collection? :D

Lovely car - but one is quite enough for me!
