Well day one, problem one- the washer fluid cap has fallen into the engine bay and I can’t get it what an idiot.

It’s not dissimilar to the Porsche world I’ve just left, so eyes open on that front!! Elastic band and some cloth for now will stand in for it!

Seriously though you’ll probably find it’s a standard Fiat or Alfa part at £2.95....

that would really bug me knowing it's just sitting there somewhere, have you punched yourself in the face yet

absolutely! And had skewers through the grille to try and get it!

looks like a standard part though £3 eBay job.

while I’m here, I do need a new switch cover for the seat adjuster and and wing mirror knob. The switches work fine but the black knob bit has fallen off both. Any solutions around? The wing mirror one is a classic issue I gather...!

so you can SEE IT and you cant get to it, even worse, give yourself another punch

, I'm not an expert on your car but i'm sure you might find them on ebay I'm amazed what can be found on ebay even the rarest of parts

What about a stick/bamboo cane with some blu tack on the end, or some double sided tape??

It’s fallen right through and is in the cavity behind the lower front grille. I can spear or capture it, but I can’t get it through the holes available!! I’m sure I’ll manage without it though, I suspect there will be bigger fish to fry in the future!!
