The SM fact-checking department points out:
The last line of the story was: "It was later clarified that the prime minister meant [he was shaking hands with] NHS workers rather than actual sick patients." And this was on about 1 March, when just about everybody except Wattie was still shaking hands.

While our opinion column adds:
The New European is a dreadful Remainer propaganda sheet which is now about as useful as UKIP and David Lammy MP who tweeted about this is an idiotic rabble-rouser.

Being mischievous then, here is the right wing Daily Mail also commenting that the beloved Prime Minister was still saying contact ok, just wash your hands... my comment still stands, perhaps he didn’t ..https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...not-washing-hands-amid-coronavirus-fears.html

Uk govornment now all crapping themselves... Health Sec now... If Raab goes down as well who takes over ? Chancellor must have it too.... At this rate Corbyn could get in by being the only one left.

Yes, the current death data suggests that the 14-day-lag match is no longer so 'perfect' and we might be doing a bit better in the UK. But the data only covers a few days, so should be treated with caution.

(edited graph to include yesterday's data)
Its just had a big jump:
The number of deaths in the UK has risen by 181 in a day, taking the total to 759.

Loads of people driving about in warrington, just taken the dog for a walk , saw about 30 cars, some **** on a motorbike flat out again not giving a **** about any NHS resources he might need.

my neighbours have been out every day , apparently Chester is like a normal day with people deciding their daily exercise is going to be a drive into the city and some window shopping so it's hardly surprising the numbers are rising, selfish *****

You cannot get bog roll anywhere near me. 2 more days and I’m **. Bleach, washing up liquid, very difficult
Try a hose pipe! Seriously we are having similar issues in Cumbria but hopefully the situation will improve in the next day or so.
