This is the updated view...not good reading, the trend continues, confirmed today that UK is at 233 deaths

The above was put on this forum 21/3/20. It clearly shows that we were almost exactly 14 days behind Italy.
Today (UK figures from 26/3/20) we are 578 dead, at the same point minus 14 days Italy was 1015. We are therefore is a much better position than them.
Does anyone concur?

Full marks to the guy, 76 and he went to the call , deserves the highest accolade
Totally agree Loz.
Not like Tóssers that are doing this now through panic buying in the UK.
I see the Aussies still enjoying their Summer on the Beaches :(

To be fair Phil , i think the panic buying is virtually over ( shoot me down if you know different) from the little ive seen , and yes i have been out shopping for essential food etc, our local Sainbury's seem pretty well stocked , with just a few items missing off the shelves ...........strangely eggs .......................have the chickens taken time out ...................... and Loo rolls seem to be back on the shelves but accordingly numbers ae restricted

Email looks totally genuine. I have been skeptical about how many we are testing for a while now. Always it's Matt Hancock or Boris claiming we are "ramping up testing" but the numbers tested don't show that. Lies?
You know, at times like these I want the truth, if we can't test for whatever reason then tell us. Bit like Hancock's claim that he had "spoken to all the supermarkets" when next morning they all said they hadn't heeard from him. Lies!

Certainly looks that way, the curve seems to be falling behind that of Italy-long may that continue as up until the 21st, we seemed in direct correlation

I’m seeing a lot of people calling Boris for not imposing rules quickly enough (someone will always complain!), buy I think people need to step back and consider that the way it has been done is in a structured and phased approach.

Guarantee there would of been severe panic and backlash if the measures today were imposed immediately a week or so ago and not gradually

I still think that's because they live 3 generations to a house, they may be isolating as a family but if one of them has it the grandparents don't make it hence the much higher numbers than the UK who mostly live one or two generations to a house
