Totally agree Andy.
My mother well in her 80'S doesn't understand it at all and comes out with she was a child in the War etc survived rationing and all the rest beggars belief.
I have told her as her oldest son and locked down in France not able to leave the area I live in that we're in a Serious situation and we don't have the Home Guard warning us of the next attack.
Just stay put and stay safe.

This is the updated view...not good reading, the trend continues, confirmed today that UK is at 233 deaths

Thank you but, can you tell me what website this is from? Link?

Edit, sorry, I read you don't have a link. I assume you maintain it manually then.

..I am just shocked by how the people in this country aren't listening to advice. It's like they they think it will not happen to me. Pubs, restaurants closed yet a hotel in Chepstow yesterday was rammed as they are allowed to be open....loop hole that needs closing....People going to beauty spots and socialising....keep fits classes being held in parks...!!!!!....Even in my own family....my parents still think they can do what they always have. They are 80 and my father has cancer...Stern words from me. They don't realise if one of them have to go to hospital the other will not be able to visit or any of the family. If heaven forbid it takes their life then they will die alone in hospital without their love ones. Sobering thought for me. Do the public really understand or just paying lip service to what the government is saying. The government have been clear with advice yet people still see this as a way to undermine what they are doing on social media.....This is time to come together and support what is advised....if this gets worse there is only one group of people to blame.....us......not Boris, not the government ...... We are in charge of our own destination here.....You just have to look at Italy to see what could happen...Sorry for an early morning rant but this is fecking serious...

Completely in agreement, brain dead morons basically, bit like the UK morons in spain flouting the lockdown and still bragging about boozing in the pubs/venues out there and Spanish police having to herd them back, the only solution here now is to lockdown, police powers and military as clearly the message is not getting through

Clearly missing the point.

There are 100s of front line staff who are unable to work because they are waiting to be tested putting many lives at risk if they don't get back to work fast enough.

If Portsmouth FC want to test people why don't they pay for the test at your local hospital where it will do far more good.

I have a 50 year old staff member in an induced coma at the moment due to the disease... yet the local health trust are unable to test his colleagues, so even more of my staff are SI putting even more strain on the system.

What you mean all the players clog up the hospital with hours of work which could be acomplished in house without bothering anybody?

Yup, saw them in Benidorm. But why were the bars allowed to be open?
Also, anyone see Bondi beach Australia, absolutely rammed with people.
Lastly, apparently York was empty yesterday, seems everyone from Yorkshire had gone to the beaches of Bridlington and Skegness. These are supposedly ADULT people making decisions that are clearly stupid.

100% agree....! I never thought I would need to say this but the sooner they bring in to play a nationwide 'lock down' , which is also enforced by the Police and Army (like in Italy and France ), then the better. Yes it would bring about huge constraints for us all but if we are 'heading up the curve' as per Italy, then it needs to be done and fast to save lives. We are at risk of losing an entire generation at this rate..... extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures.

this is interesting and clearly confirms that the UK government has made the same mistake as did the Italian government did early on, we could be on the same path as Italy because bafoon Boris and his donkey sidekicks ignored the signs

Crazy. I live on the seafront here in Southsea and the beach was packed all day. Not yet 8am and it's getting busy already.
Wait till they see scenes like we saw in Italy.... on their own shores. I am amazed they haven’t streamed live footage from hospitals around the UK. I would say panicking morons staying at home is better than morons spreading it around to more sensible folk. Get the army out. Lock the Morons in their own home.

To be honest not much of this ridiculous selfish behaviour surprises me. For years it has amazed me how so many people are so stupid. There are underlying issues here deep below that causes people to be so dense.

I agree with most now that if people can't look after themselves we need to force the issue and force them to comply. It not only is putting their lives at risk that frankly are worth less but more importantly the lives of others much more valued in society.

The Ms has been mountaineering for many years and keeps in contact with some of the mountain rescue guys. Teams in Wales had to go out and rescue a number of inexperienced and unprepared people from Snowdonia and the Brecons yesterday. Apparently it was busier than a summer bank holiday.
