I expect we will eventually see a mix of renewable tech where different scales of vehicle use different systems. The biggest offenders are ships so I’d be looking closely at cruise line stock as surely it’s only a matter of time before the tide turns (pun intended) and people realise that the floating hotel is chucking out more **** on their sunshine cruise than they will be responsible for at any other part of their life. It’s easy for people to campaign against local issues - blocking roads, stopping runways etc. It’s more complex to raise havoc with container ships and oil transport etc.

Virgin just launched a cruise ship monstrosity which laughs in the face of all the other righteous stuff the claim to do for the environment.

I expect to see self driving electric for normal transport, hydrogen for everything from HGV to ships. It will take 20 years plus to sort the infrastructure but it will happen.

As for what happens to our cars....petrol will be produced in lower volume and there will be a serious cost to use these things, making them for special occasions and the wealthy only. It will become a cult only.

I have no issue with dealing with environmental issues. Provided there is sense involved in the process and the governments don’t just sell out to whoever they think will feed them the most in the process.

Battery tech, charging tech etc will all improve and is already. I have an investment I’m looking at just now which adds charging points into lamp posts, opening up those that don’t have driveways or underground garages etc. It’s coming, quickly, but not immediately.
Yeah but I dont have lamp posts where I live.....just sheep! My nearest town is 21 miles away so I guess it's going to be horse and cart after diesel is phased out.

Persisting it down here and crowds dissolving into cafe and busses... traffic busy around the end of the M32 and Temple Meads... similar to rush hour.

Yeh, shame about the weather for the poor little darlings but at least it didn't stop her Airbus A320 from landing. :clapps:

It seems we have gone to extremes in many areas with little in-between. On social media we have always had like/dislike or thumbs up/thumbs down. There needs to be some in-between surely.

It is also similar with many opinions. Talking historically now of course but you were either for Brexit or against. There was no in-between which is where I sat.

Surely we can find some middle ground other than love or hate?
Meh
