Someone hung them, but it wasn’t the KGB. They on ly started doing it 20 years later.

And anyway, aren’t you supposed to be one of the political commissars round here? ;)
Yes Comrade Moderator,
One should never be in between Maseratis for long periods. Good party advocates, overlap.

Beautiful.....
Thanks. It's available, but not currently listed for sale. As Conaero has said, it's 'on the button'.
Happy to discuss if anyone's interested. Only considering selling for a change, maybe try a Ferrari next.

Six years with the GS soon... and hope to have something different later this spring... after all I have had a 4200 derivative for 12 years now.

Would like to get another low miles 4200 and hide it away from Charlotte.

Catman, you want another Maserati, and a V12? Only one solution. MC12. I know, I'm crazy, but I am only halfway joking with this. You buy an MC12, form a syndicate and sell shares in the car to all of us. We get to own part of an MC, and who else could we trust to keep our baby safe? Many have done this for other investment grade classics, why not us? You would be Maserless no more. Ed

No pressure then! (Although I've only owned two so hardly a prolific owner. Certainly a prolific poster of drivel)

The answer is pretty simple: MC Shift but there are four issues currently
  1. I need to understand WTF I'm going to be doing to make some money this year (which basically boils down to stay where I am (unlikely) or take the money and find another full time role or contracting. If anyone hears of anything, please get in touch)
  2. All the MCs that are roughly within my budget appear to be black and more black. I've done black cars. White with carbon trim would do nicely, thanks. Or palladium grey again!
  3. Really would like to have owned a V12. DB9 is on the list but struggling to find one with the right bits to try
  4. Really would like to have owned a W12. Drove one before Christmas. It's another world. That's the mostly likely thing at this pooint when 1) gets resolved.

So for now, you'll have to put up with my drivel :D

The W12....! I also had that itch. Having an engineering background I just had to.

Bentley GTC in British Racing Green.

I discovered a whole other level of service costs! At one point I was advised during its pre-servuce health check that a) the cigar lighter was ejecting at the wrong temperature and b) the glove box lid was opening too fast!

Each was north of £150 to fix!

On a more serious note I discovered that the GTC was incredibly heavy on brakes, suspension and batteries.

But what an engine. The acceleration was pretty much linear from 0 to 150 and only slowed marginally after that!

15 years ago A mate of mine raced a bentley on a honda VFR750

He took off and it kept up with him through all the gears until they got to a roundabout, he said it was the only one that was still with him when he started braking , he couldn't see it as he was concentrating on staying alive but he coul hear it whining in his right ear
Next day he asked me what engine they had in, W12 twin turbo I think , I googled it but all it said under power is "adequate"

Terrifying bills though

I would love another Maserati but not over here the VRT kills just about anything post 08 that has a thirst problem the Road Tax is bonkers as well, at least Road Tax before 08 is just based on engine size but even that kills the Maser option. Still fancy a Cayman S but even on 05 plate would have a road tax of €1800 per annum

If you think Eire is bad try Denmark. I was waiting for a ferry in Norway and a Danish guy pulled up beside me. Because of their insane vehicle tax he paid something like 3 times as much for his BMW as I did for my RC8.
