Will we change, is of course the million dollar question. As you know, I do my bit for the planet in bringing renewable energy to a developing country...

But I've also found a yacht I want to buy that burns 100 liters of diesel per hour, or every 9 miles.

Now here's the thing (man maths alert) for every average domestic PV system installed I can travel 90 miles and burn just under a tonne of diesel. But, that PV system will save many, many times that amount in its 25 year life.

So, am I still doing my bit?

Of course. Doing something is better than most, who are doing nothing.

Well, I've done something. I've just switched energy provider from So Energy to Green, which not only gives me 100% renewable gas and electricity but also saves me close on £200 per annum. Or, to put it another way, two tanks of super unleaded. Nice.

Nice work Adam ;) I think we are with Bulb and using 100% renewable electricity as well. No gas as have oil. Just got a nice £2k+ cheque back from SSE though from the solar panels. Nice xmas pressie to replenish the coffers.....for about 5 maybe 6 mins :D

I didn't think it was sunny enough here?

Pah! It'll never catch on...

Apparently it is it seems. SSE have messed up readings so many times it is comical.

I might look at putting something on the new office to see if it can power itself. Some research required I think ;)
