Question of the day

OK a work related question, who flew those drones before Christmas... No.

Seriously, apparently I work at the world's busiest single runway airport with 950 movements in a single day (stop sniggering at the back) but it was usurped by another airport in terms of passengers flown. Which airport was this?

As a clarification and a bonus, Gatwick actually has two runways but can only use one at a time, likewise so has the above answer but another airport claims to be the busiest single runway with 22m pax as the above two have other runways available. Which one is this?

Somewhere with a large population and around the clock flying maybe?
Yes, now where could that be? As a clue if you look at this airport on any map, it has two distinct runways, both used to be used at the same time. They decided to close one (and have it as a contingency) as it would allow them to increase capacity.

Well it let's out anywhere with a Nimby population, I would guess India. Logic would suggest Delhi being the capital city it would have 2 runways so how about Mumbai, enormous population and growing economy?

Correct Mumbai is the usurper, but which is the third busiest and true single runway airport?

They are the land speed records breaking certain 100's of mph.

OK back to my bonus question from earlier, which is the third busiest but 'busiest true' single runway airport. Clue it's not in India...
