Sounds like a bargain. The newer ones mainly seem to have fancier iOS integration and apps and yadda yadda yadda. Oh, and fatter price labels. I'm tempted and must do some research.

The new ones seem damned expensive, frankly. Not even managed to work out what the difference really is :)

I just wanted something to record the Centenary lap and the road trip to Italy. If I had the time, I'd upload the (very dull) drive to Luton so you can see the video quality.

Bug me during the week and I'll try and do something so you can see what I have

Do you want to send me some startup shots to add to the video I made of mine?

Well done on the bargain purchase C :)

I think this has been talked about on here and drew and miles said it should not be a problem?
It clearly says on the tickets that passengers have to be a minimum of 8 years old. May stop my wife and little one coming which would be a shame.

No, I don't think I did - my comment was about the limit on 'not under 16' in the track assembly area. We aren't using that, and will be entering the track adjacent to the display area. Sorry, but I don't think Silverstone marshalls (it's a Silverstone rule, not Maserati club) will allow 3 year olds onto the circuit. I can't imagine why really, as they will probably survive the 25mph experience :)

I managed 25 mph one year.

Though, to be fair, I was usually deep in the pack. Hopefully, you lot will be right at the front and so able to get a move on.

Yeahhhhh, after speaking with Silverstone, then Lisa, Nicole and Jane at Goose Communications, I will be receiving my infield parking tickets by Wednesday. Phew, that was close. Brilliant ladies at Goose, very impressed. Silverstone not so. Couldn't have been less helpful.

Exactly, C. I'd *like* a GoPro but for the limited use it would get I certainly can't justify a few hundred £ on a brand-new all signing all-dancing one. I need to do some more research to find out what the differences are and have a poke round on FleaBay and similar.

Got my tickets last week but wasn't going to go - just found out my mate's entered his ex Frank Biela Audi 80 Quattro Supertourisme in the Jet Super Touring Car Trophy (they were going to enter an ex Gabrielli Tarquini Alfa 55 but it got mashed at Oulton's Toursist Trophy so won't be back together in time) so now I'll be there all day Sunday. Even though I'm no longer an owner can I still pop over and give you guys (and gal) a hard time over reliability, running costs and anything else Maserati related?

Well, one less for the parade! Sadly my QP won't now be at the Silverstone event – I'll be there on the Sunday though so hope to see you all. (Long story – car was involved in an incident last week and now at Migliore for repair – all being paid for by the guilty party. Don't want to discuss the event on the forum until all is settled but glad to say the other party has admitted full liability and is paying for repairs without going through insurance).

Ok thanks. I must admit it is a little unclear what restrictions there are and in what area the kids will be allowed in.

That's a shame Norman. If you're looking for a seat in a Maser for the parade lap, there's a thread for people with spare seats and those who want to fill them.
