Don't you have the same word Frank?? Means, "what a sh!tty effect a lubricated maserati interior????"

As I said I'd only washed my hands, the rest of me had oily marks from working on the other car - I can see now how that could be imsinterpreted :)

"A woman went into a bar and asked for a double entendre so the barman gave her one."

This is another example of lesson number 3.

Back on thread.....

Second day I had my original 4200 it was driven out to us by the porter at our hotel in Oxford. As we moved to get in around 20 young American students started a massive round of applause.

Mrs was mortified!

This is another example of lesson number 3.

She then said “Have you got a large one?”

“Never had any complaints”.

Sid James will never be forgotten whilst I'm around!

Every journey is an occasion. Even picking up a takeaway from my local chinese last night took an extra 20 minutes because a bloke wanted to chat about that 'glorious car' parked outside...

It's like giving something back to the community !

There's hope yet.

Walking back to the car yesterday afternoon, parked at the far end of the Hypermarché's car park to try and avoid parking bumps, which also has the happy side-effect of giving nice views of the car, my other half said: "you know, it is the most beautiful car".

Hi Mike

About 3 years ago driving my QP Sport GT in a remote part of Southern Italy I was stopped at a junction in a small village and a little old lady in black got off her seat by the side of the road and walked very unsteadily in front of the bonnet whereupon she stooped and kissed it. Regaining her poster I could see a wide grin on her face obviously delighted with her gesture of affection for Maserati.
Lovely, lovely totally lovely

Parisians never talk to you...but last April in paris, everyone who saw the car wanted to chat about it.....bus driver at traffic lights.....people whose block I parked car in their underground car park and a passerby at a market.....fabulous!

I expect to pick up my GTS next week.
On the following Saturday I'll try to sneak it into the golf club car park (at 0700)
I'll let you know the reactions it provokes.
As my golf is unremarkable, I hope it will improve my kudos (defn . acclaim, glory or prestige) a bit. Perhaps that's expecting too much.
At least it should stand out (nero carbonio) among the silver BMs, Mercs, Audis, etc. There are a couple of Aston Martins and 911's so there will be more competition now for the "safer" car parking places.
I haven't been this excited since.... (Actually, I can't remember when)
