Yep I know Dem, no probs, I'm laughing at what my missus will say when I say we have another car, but it will be me facing the music :)
Fire up the Chevy as you tell her, then she won't hear what you say, and the music of that V8 will be enjoyable to you both.

Took the Mk1 GTI to the office today and had two offers from randoms who saw it in he car park, even had come on name a price. If you want an investment get either a good mk1 Golf or a 205GTI 1.9.

Good idea Stevie, but don't tell as I may bring her down to the Ace in July as it is her birthday :)

Yes is the answer! :D

Plus if it is an investment do you really care?

PMSL yeah your right, I'm not after buying the car to drive, just really after an investment, I'd even buy a Wartburg if I thought I could make a bob or two keeping it on my drive for a few years :)

Thanks Darren, more than I want to pay and perhaps not enough miles on it to identify any problems which would have been covered under warranty.

I've been thinking seriously and have come to the conclusion that I do not have the storage area to keep a car in brilliant condition for 30 years, so am going to scrub that idea for now, we have a double garage but with my 5 Colnago's and other bikes in and the work benches hard top for the 911 and everything else it needs to be practical, so......

Always wanted one of these in fluro green or white and green, the missus has gone ape with me, but it will be perfect as a shopper, cheap to run and possibly an investment....don't all moan at me at once :)

I particularly like the 3rd photo as long as it comes with the accessory item :)

You don't want the accessory in picture 3

maintenance costs are very high as it requires frequent trips to the shop and it's prone to breakdown

Stuff the maintenance costs Darren, just think how much I will save by not having to wash the car :)

These things are hard to catch down a bumpy lane, so narrow and so much soft suspension travel that they don't have to slow for anything!

Both :)

The design concept was that you could drive them over a ploughed field with a basket of eggs on the back seat and not break any, love the basicness of them especially the picnic chairs, unclip the front seat and there you have it comfortable picnic chairs :)

And in an outlandish colour they could be deemed bada$$

Glad you've gone off the Jag idea, John. Even though you're really ancient I don't think you've matured enough for one yet!

I also found out out today how slow they are compared to a GS!

Mark, I'm glad you said that I have not matured enough, I never want to mature, hasn't anyone told you, I'm Peter Pan!

Yep they might be slow Mark, but in comparison to a 2CV they would be like Concord! :)
