I think mileage is important but has to be the right mileage.

A car with too few miles on is often more trouble than one with too many, especially if the higher mileage car has been looked after and used on a regular basis.

I have known so many people who have paid a premium for low mileage classics which have needed so much work to get them in a good reliable condition.

Be interesting to know if this car has had its chains done...or will Mike gloss over that issue?

I think there is some truth in that as cars do need to be run. Mine has been sat for 5 years and only done 400 miles in that time as the MOT certificates prove this. Had to spend a good 2.5K on it and now starting to run as she should do! Let's hope that she carries on running fine now!

Was your car the one held in stock at Bristols Alfa Net showroom? It was there for over four years stood still.

No, it was owned by a local dealer who literally buys up cars and keeps them, he has Ferrari's and a few classic hot hatches which he is sitting on for the future. One of my friends notified me about the car and I made him a decent offer and he went for it.

So this is still for sale, I didn't know it was an 11 owner car, yes 11 owners!!!!

One guy from Pistonheads has been to see it:

"We weren't bartering with Mike 'old owt yer and' Brewer, we were dealing with the head of production who knew he had other potential buyers turning up. £13,000 for an 11 owner 90,000 car albeit with good FSH and in nice condition is too much. We are looking at dealer car at the weekend with a warranty, 60,000 on the clock, 4 owners and a nicer interior for a grand less. I think who ever buys it will be prepared to pay a premium because of the celebrity factor!"

Be very interesting to see if it sells at the asking!

Well, they need to sell it to complete the show. So, if I was interested, I'd bid them very keen. But, I'm not. So, I won't.

How can a car be any good when it is purchased and restored in less than 55 minutes allowing for adverts? :tomato9:

I think it will still sell for just under 12k which compared to what is out there is a tad on the steep side. I still maintain that 3200 prices are firming up though.

I agree prices seem to be firming and I also agree that this particular car is not worth what they are asking, even though it has been seen by thousands on the box and they saw it being "restored", it's still a 91K mile car and the resoration is.....??

Criminal that any should be sub 10k for a roadworthy car. I recon they will get between 11 and 12 for it.

Restoration is more like getting it back from a neglected state..........so in no shape of form can it classed as a restoration
