Smoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast....
I had better get mine inspected then, I know the rear drivers side control arm bush is on its way out so I need one of those at the very least. Thanks for the info.
In summary:
- you should get a letter from Maserati advising you to get wishbones inspected (yet to get mine)
- Maserati is not offering to replace with better part, you are on your own replacement / expense wise
- the wishbones now on sale have been redesigned and look stronger around the weak spot
- there did seem to be some for sale 400ish but not sure if still the case or back to 1000
- murmurs of action in the background which I would guess will be in manner of brake disc action but nothing announced yet.
I suspect many of us are awaiting further developments on this forum, recognising Maserati's failure to offer to replace the parts.
Do you mean the track control bush? That is no reason to buy a new wishbone. You can replace them like for like for £15 (plus fitting) or go for a kit like Craig's or buy the upgraded Hills Engineering version.
Not sure, at the MOT they gave the wheel a wobble and said it had some play, a guy went underneath while the guy was wobbling it and said it was the control arm i think it was the bush(?) In the pictures its the black bit with a threaded bolt sticking out of that I think the hub sits in? On the other side the track rod is on its way out but I have a kit from Craig to put on so thats fine.
