Well if I were interested I'd get an inspection done, us debating the ifs buts and maybes is all pure speculation.

Maybe it had just that... an inspect done by a possible buyer which highlighted a number of faults that the garage would not fund...now want shut...all speculation I know.

Went to look at this one a few months Bach when priced at 14k didn't drive it though, lots of different shades of blue & some nasty damage to the bonnet. But for 9k worth a punt?

It doesn't sound good at all - The asking price will be just the beginning I fear.

Same, inspection is needed

So what we can gather is

£200 ish inspection
£2500 clutch
£3500 OK ish paint job
£1000 other items
£ 500 service maybe

So I recon you would need to spend about £7000 to £8000 to get it to mint ,for a car worth maybe £14000 ish

If you can get it for say 6000 k it might be worth a punt but a lot of work but it would be well sorted .
