It's a pity that the last series was the final one as they were getting their mojo back after a rather lackluster period. The modified ambulances were inspired, especially firing the patient out of the back into the "hospital". I know it's all staged but that had me crying.

Do we all remember what happened to Top Gear last time JC left between 1998 and 2002?

It was utter shite!...Kate Humble, VBH, QW and some Irish tit

James May was on the old TG though who remembers that?

Kate Humble is a presenter in search of a program
She has a varied CV, none of it much cop
Springwatch
Top Gear
Tomorrows World
Volcanos
and a myriad more I could go on, in fact I will
Blue Planet
Countdown

Yah remember James May, didn't he loose his licence for DD and consequently left TG rather quickly?

Who is the guy on the left? That is a big lineup! They got to ensure it appeals to the world market as that is where the big money is and where the original cast succeeded.

My work colleagues in Russia loved top gear and clarkson.

scruffy gets, I remember the days when you had to wear a tie and speak with a plumb in your mouth to work for the BBC

They could have picked Winona Ryder, Frankie Boyle and my dad to co-present it and I still wouldn't be watching, due to His Royal Smugness Evans...

Even looking at that picture above makes me want to punch him repeatedly.

I have the same reaction to Clarkson ... and May & the little one for that matter, so I may give this one a go!

That Rory is utterly terrible . I know it being the BBC they have to have a token black man , but get someone who has a personality please .

The films are ok but the studio banter is so bad .

I actually thought it was really good. I really enjoyed it and laughed out loud.

I actually preferred it to Grand Tour.

The FXXK segment was good and so was the trip.

Thought there was enough banter and it was OK. Though not as good as the old top gear it was definitely a lot better.

I thought that it was a lot better than the last series, better too than some Grand Tour and the latter series of Clarkson and Co's top gear.
There's good rapport between the 3 and McAvoy added to it.
No staged jokes, no time-wasting filler either.

It's still a re hash of an old theme which the thre other presenters (or one in particular) had made their own. It needs a change of tact - perhaps some car reviews.
Having said that, the FXXK thingy was good, I thought they spoilt the half a million miles cars by having an impromptu race, and a reasonable performance car is a nice touch.
Same time next week.....

I thought it was good too, much better than both the last TG and The Grand Tour. Evolution not revolution but I think the 3 work together well certainly worth watching again which is more than I thought at the end of the CE version
