Nice to see TG back after enduring GT BUT as many have said they all need to relax especially stressy Mr Harris.

Ok. So a lot of you didn't like the new TG. The thing is would you prefer to watch GT over this? Or are you the same lot disliking GT as well?

Better than most of GT but not as good as the last few of the last series (i didnt think CE was as bad as others) Pressure washer and MLB poor and pointless.

GT is miles better, the production's superb and the guys bounce off each other like an old mates!

Ok the Beeb version was better than last year, but except for the Daytona bit it was rather dull though..

Just wait for series two of GT, when they've ironed out some of the silly bits and chucked another 5 million at it!

Can't wait ;)

I would like to see new TG change the format so it isn't the same as Clarksons TG.....not sure how mind you. I would watch both though aas they are car shows with lovely metal on them so why not watch as a car fan.

shows how difficult it is to please everyone.

Really wanted to like GT but found it really tough to watch and will not go out my way in future. For some reason I no longer find the presenters entertaining, like x-factor, Ant & Decs ..... etc I just don't get what everyone else is obviously seeing.

I hope TG does continue to evolve and continues.
Hopefully MLB will go, as although not as bad as I initially feared in the last series, I am starting to think this was due to him not having as much air time. He seems more "shouty" than Evans did and I just dont think he is funny.

Every time I see Ant and Dec on tv I just see them morphing into very poor clones of morecambe and wise

The grand tour was pretty poor considering how much money they spent , and as for the track , I used to ride my RD250 round something similar in 1978 for free

Same here on Ant n Dec.....They are trying so hard to be them....Not a hope in **** will they ever achieve that...They are just bloody cheesy and annoying most of the time.

Never got Ant & Dec don't think they have developed since Biker Grove.

TG it is hard to change a winning formula but the first show of this series looks like they are starting to evolve into something else. This will take time but hopefully this series might be the first steps.

Given the viewers / ratings Ant & Dec together with Simon Cowell get, it cant be denied they are the best entertainment on TV.

It was always be a progressive evolution for TG, last series was the first and most difficult step, not that most grasped that, hopefully things will continue in the right direction - just as long as they drop antics like the pressure washer piece!

Of course it can. They are the most popular but popularity isn't necessarily a mark of quality.

I must be quite different from most here then. Firstly, I love Ant and Dec, they are easily the best presenters on TV. I even went to their live show which was great fun. Just a shame they've dropped Ashley the Pussycat Doll for Scarlett the Goggleboxer.

I thought TG was quite good, a little contrived but it always was so that's not new. GT is not bad but i've never been a fan of Clarkson, Hammond and May and thought that TG had run it's course with them anyway so the debacle was not great loss to my TV viewing. I'd still prefer to see some actual reviews on these programs, not just of supercars but of hot hatches and the like which is more relevant to most of us. The escapades to far flung corners in old bangers are fun but it's just same old same old now. Give me a real life comparison between a 500k miler Volvo running it every day for a year against a leased new bog standard car. As a petrolhead, I'd like to know what that comparison would look like.

I have to say, I rather like Sabine Schmidt's necklace. I suspect she's the only person that should be allowed to wear it, though!

I've just dipped in and out of this series , I'm still hearing Clarksons lines being spoken like a reluctant best man delivers a speech though

I just think they should have taken it in a different direction rather than just attempting to replace the *actors*
