Thread drift is half the fun round here. We could go back and forth through half a dozen topics then full circle back to....what were we talking about again?!

Variety is the spice of life.....let the thread drift much on I say. You can't shackle creativity.

I bought a lovely pair of loake 1880 boots in debenhams sale , were £220 , reduced to £78 then they offered me 20% off if I opened a store account , I couldn't believe it :D

Joking - Missed that one, we sorely need a shoes thread!!!!

OMG I leave the forum for 5 mins and chaos ensues.

Well, it seems, in true SM style, you have debated it, gone off topic, come back and are now threatening the pescian route, cod help us all!

Yes the forum does not over moderate and the members are of sufficient intellect (Nantwich members exempt) to know where the boundarys are. But like a fish on the hook the line will only let it run for so far.

The Brexit thread was a case in point. We can pretty much say the country was split right down the middle and thus so were our members and when constructive criticism transverse over into trading insults, the plug will get pulled along with any thread that attacks race, gender or sexuality.

I believe we have still to date only banned 3 members from 5k in 7 years, which is something we should all collectively be very proud of.

This forum is a very different place from where it started. Most Maserati specific items have already been done to death and we find ourselves moving more to a FaceBook type social network.

Nothing wrong with that and for now, we will not try and fix what is not broken but Stewart thank you for bringing the subject to our humble plaice.

Matt, why back to sensible stuff and fish,
we were on shoes, shoes I say!
TBH, its the only reason I stay, great bunch of guys who don't judge.reasoned debate "normally" and a social aspect that is errr......educational....even for a 22 year squadie!!

This forum has taught me a few things over the years:-

The Nantwich foghorn is secretly French
Blue Suede Shoes was written by Ewan
Fish isn't just for Fridays
Geoff Capes isn't
Dicky Grace has too many toys I can't afford
Maserati will never make an Alfieri
3200s are as reliable as a sock
4200s are Preludes in a smart suit
Quattroportes have no imagination
AndyK gets up to early
Golf the car is little better than Golf the sport
and most importantly of all, thread drift is allowed - and so be it always

MAFs a dIck and so is Sparticarse. Shoes are for wearing and fish is for eating, or licking depending on how hard your ears are getting pulled. Even our Obersturmbahnfuhrer is usually Ok, except when he starts drifting onto abuse of regions and their members, the tw4t! :D

You're a dab hand at piscine puns, C! With you around it'll be a while before this thread starts to flounder.

You're a bit shark this morning, Mr Crud. I am but a minnow in this game. Still, as long as everyone's having a whale of a time. It's a great grouper to belong to. To think, once upon a time, I was thinking of becoming a monkfish, but then I realised it was just a phase of being prawn again.
