well in to Friday evening and a nice bottle of red on the go and its still 20 degrees c outside Summer is on its way here.
Handed my notice in with Ford and Mazda ax just not interesting enough for me and will be starting the new year with a specialist engineering company that looks after some special motors so quite excited about that.
No more recalls and software updates for me.

Morning,

Everything confirmed for the moving date so now need to start giving notice on the various services provided here and get things organised for when we move into the new place. Move date is in three weeks though so might fall foul of Openreach lead times and be without 'net access for a week. The horror!!

In the meantime been up early and solved one work problem already this morning.

Hopefully next door's building has finished getting rid of the old pointing and stopped covering the cars in dust. If they have then I'll get the cleaning stuff out if it ever gets warm enough that my hands don't freeze. If not it'll be a quick trip to the local hand wash and a bill for our neighbours

Morning all, had a restless night last night, got home to hear of the loss of a good friend at 101,75 years old! He was still driving just a year ago!!! So change of plans as the funeral is today at the Jewish Cemetary in Waltham Abbey. I'm supposed to be picking up the Volvo first though, couldn't get hold of the mechanic yesterday afternoon so don't know if it is ready or not.

Am feeling grateful that it’s Friday as I’m feeling old and knackered after a busy week.... the bad news is that there’s another 8-9hr day of endless meetings to get through, and I may need to spend 4-5 hrs of the weekend doing the thinking and analysis that hasn’t been done this week.

Morning forum. Yesterday went very well indeed. All the server racks and the SAN made it to Nottingham safely and were installed in the data hall well ahead of schedule.

Dashing up there in about 20 minutes to look after the team as they put it all back together today.

Morning all, off to the shoot this morning with the hounds and my eldest Sally for the first time. Hopefully more birds this time it was a bit grim last time, the gamekeeper has two sprinters that are so ill-disciplined they just charge off and scatter the birds!

Tidying and sorting day today as we start to get ready for the move. If the weather permits I need to clean the cars. The neighbours kindly had their pointing done and everything is covered in mortar dust!

Morning all, Saturday is children Taxi day with music clubs and a football party for the youngest today. Should I worry she is 9 years old and all her party guests are boys !!!
