The good morning thread

I am knackered after two nights out and early starts after each one. Would like to just go home but I'm chained to the office desk for a few hours yet.

Got to go to Hertfordshire to pick up the MX5 from a garage.
Then got to wash the Aston when I get back home (probably at 8pm - the neighbours will think i'm nuts again) ready for a 6am start getting to Beaulieu tomorrow!

Good day,
Notice in, 4 weeks then a week on holiday then new job start 11th Sept....
I've offered to go early if they want to save some money but they just looked at me like I had a welly on my head...

Have a good weekend...

Congratulations. Why were you wearing rubber to the office?

Morning everyone,

Car cleaning day seems to have come around rather quickly again. Might take a drive out first though, somewhere not too far as I'm still a little reluctant to stamp on the brakes until I get the pads done next week.

Have a great day

It's running good buddy. It's going back in two weeks for a check over once I've run it around for a while. He did say it may need glow plugs but he didn't want to spend anymore on it....It does as it really doesn't like cold starting....and at £30 for a set its not expensive...Wonder if I could change them myself. Good news is when she starts all that nasty smoke isn't there and when she goes she pulls really well. Cosmetically still all that to do which I think is around a grand to a Grand and a half depending on how much you want to do but probably a grand would do it to make her presentable......I would probably say she is a car that maybe a wrap would make more sense as you can get them done for around 800/900 these days.

So do I sell.....boys want to keep her...Liz wants to sell her......I'm not sure......ill see how it goes the next two weeks.....a Think she would make a good track project and as the final bill was £3200 it seems a shame to let her go now. The MOT edged up adding £500....Brakes and two tyres needed.

So three options.....Try and sell as an ongoing project......keep........px her against a car for Liz.......

Morning forum

Mrs Catman's father coming round later to watch some Wendyball on the big screen apparently. Sure I'll find something to keep my occupied elsewhere!

Seems the sensible thing to do is run it for a year, get use of some of the money you have invested in her then sell it.

Morning chasps. A lovely day in wet and windy Liege. Heading down to the furnace that is Italy but it'll take us 3 more days to get where we are going so plenty of time to acclimatise. Andy, I'd let someone else do the glow plugs; they are notorious for shearing off and are a right PITA to sort out. Great if they all come out but BAD if one or more don't. Have a look at the diagnostics and see if you have any failures. It might be easier to only replace the one/s that need it. Have a good one folks, I'm off to p!ss-off our European enemies.... sorry, frie..., frie..., no, it won't come out.

Morning all, lazy start after a very disturbed (sucession of drunk teenagers coming home) night. Got to complete Alex's new bike with him this weekend, help Adam with my accounts as he is taking them on for me. And much more besides.

Have fun all...

Lovely City is Liege was there last month. There's a great bar there called La Maison du Peket selling Peket which is a fruit brandy with all sorts of different colours and flavours.

Happy to report that the game pie was superb in every way, pigeon, pheasant, lardons, leeks, onions, garlic half a bottle of tawney port and a decent short crust to top it off! And this evening we got the bike on the road and Alex back in the saddle four months after his crash. Massive smile on his face right now.
