Well that was a mad hour! Woke up in a bit of a panic thinking it was Monday and I'd oversleped and not prepared for the trip! Gave Jeanette a cup of tea to be told it was Sunday!!!

Anyway I had a good day yesterday as I dug out my old lathe and did a full restoration of it, welded s frame to hold the lay-shaft pulley block and added some spreader feet to the stand to make the whole thing more stable, it is now stronger than ever and indeed I immediately put it to work to repair a large stainless steel spindle from a bit of play equipment and used the unique feature of a pivoting head stock to hang it out over the side and weld the plate back onto the spindle using the tool to true it up as I welded it. Great job done which will pay for my day and save the authority on the cost of a new one. Given that the lathe is 120 years old I'm chuffed to bits with it.

So having got my Sunday back I may wash a few cars.

Have fun all...

Morning all. Off to get a baguette for Sausage baguettes for breakfast in a mo. Then I've got to put a blind up, wash the car for next week and then make myself comfy for the second FA Cup semi.

Standard Sunday then.

Good morning, off to Wembley with brother-in-laws for man ****** v Arsenal in the FA cup.

Being a united fan I'll spend most of my evening in the shower scrubbing myself clean.

Another sunny day here in the Lakes.

Great drive out yesterday with Mick, Artha' and Enzo.

Today looks like another good one...now just off for Breakfast and a full English.

It's a long day in the pub watching football. On the lash already so I apologise if my later posts start to reflect it. By apologise, I mean suck it up!

Well from doing nothing,
30 miles on bike and a gleaming Audi A1 later, red is popping,
Forgot how much I like cleaning cars!!

Come and do mine then. After spending all morning putting up a blind (on plasterboard that had already been repaired. Badly), I couldn't be ar5ed to wash mine. Will do it on Friday before Brooklands.

Morning all,

Took advantage of the sun yesterday for an impromptu blast out to Pateley Bridge and surrounding area. Lovely afternoon out and found a nice spot for a picnic overlooking Gouthwaite Reservoir. Back to reality and work this morning. Short week again this week though with the drive down to the smoke on Friday ready for Brooklands. Looking at the weather just now I'm trying to work out when I'll get the car cleaned before then.

Have a great day everyone

Good Morning Everyone, got a ticking off today on my way into work for doing 'obscene speeds' ...yes sir...thank you sir..'slow down'... yes I will sorry....

Humbled...so a nice easy drive in after that...

Anyway, went to the football yesterday saw City lose, they should have won, but the worst of it was that one of the guys I work with is a city fan and he was 6 seats away from me! What are the chances? He threatened to 'out' me...(as a United Fan, before you start!) but he was gutted at the end of it. It was funny to hear city fans argue amongst themselves and a 65+yo man getting chucked out for being 'disruptive' ! They never learn...
