Glad today is over, finished my last day release on a 5 day Site Managers Health and Safety Course for the construction industry. (Don't actually work in construction, but nearest course for H&S in my industry of stainless steel process plant/pipework site installation)
Passed no problem 96%, but last week the instructor threw a mock exam and everyone failed, not reaching the 70% required. He admitted today the mock was designed so no one would pass...so you studied extra hard all week for the actual exam on the last day of the course! Thanks for that Mr Instructor, I think.

Morning all, early train to London for me, half day with clients, half day in my office at Heathrow, then flight out to Geneva and home, where I understand it's going to be 21deg all weekend! 50th birthday party to go to in Lyon on Saturday, which should be amusing. Halloween themed - does the trident count?

Morning all.

Working from home. Likely to be a long one as we have a DB cluster upgrade over the weekend. Still probably the best planned major release our division has ever done :)

Have a great day, all

Over in South London many places today for some inspection and mostly meetings with clients and a pull through from the H & S man for my gang's lack of fencing earlier in the week....! Taking one for the team there!

Have fun all...

Gday all. At my office, having the first coffee in a cup i bought when we attended the Paris Motor Show two years ago. I wrecked the inner of the wing plastic of the Mito...this thing came out quite easily...not sure what's its performance in an accident..

Have a good one.

Morning all.

Working from home again today. Got two proposals out yesterday, two nastier, fiddlier, more involved ones to deal with today. Off to the culturally bereft but nonetheless amusing Dubai on Sunday so was hoping my week could finish early today. Still hoping, and need to work my nuts off to achieve such a wild fantasy.

Have a good one.

Morning all

Back to work today and taking my son into the office to meet everyone and make brews, he gets to experience rush hour tube to Paddington.

Train back home this evening...

@Adam any suggestions on Dubai attempting to book honeymoon there for December

Morning all. Happy to see the back of this week. A day in the office and some final payments for the brake disc group buy to check before resuming taxi duties for teenagers tonight.

Is Hawksmoor that good for steaks? I've heard a few people say they're going there recently, and I do miss a good steak. My benchmarks would be Peter Luger or the Strip House in NYC, but never found anywhere to match in the UK.
