Just had a long conversation with a prospective client. It's all very sensitive for them, so they will only speak in general terms, ask general questions but expect specific answers to which they wish to hold me accountable. Spiffing. I've explained that we need to get into contract, sign a load of non-disclosures and get down to solving their problems. Just like grown-ups

Surely specific answers are billable, OB?

Fair point, but we 'specifically' haven't agreed contracts yet! And until we have bankable returns coming our way, I'm not giving out the answers. They've heard enough to know that we know what we say we know and we know what they need. Or something like that.
