Oh I suspect he has *all* the info, but he does know how to leverage publicity. His judgement on the DB issue was impressive, from a strictly non-technical viewpoint.

A certain bloke responds to a certain foul-mouthed Oirishman

... @$^%"^$"^_'s comments about our company and employees are plain wrong. He shouldn’t be saying such unfounded things, but sadly we live in a world where we have no means of preventing the media from reporting his ridiculous accusations. What I can say is that anyone who knows anything about what we do sees his comments for exactly what they are, simply a way to get his name and that of the airline he runs in the media. We will never stoop to his level and we will continue to do the right thing, which is to stick to the facts and retain our integrity, which I believe is ultimately what really counts with those whose opinions matter.

Makes you wonder what his board meetings are like. If some civil servants cried foul when Cabinet Ministers were bullying them, lord knows what they'll make of his blue-aired tantrums are like....

We have a "personality" as an MD when he goes into attack mode you just hunker down and hope it will blow past you. This mode is normally saved for those talking ******** but despite his point it is never nice to watch even when he is right.

I have done the same trip twice since then... Sunday in Sept has been our chosen time to avoid the camping truck roadblocks.
