Can't be hard can it? Any Aston forums detailing the process?

It's a little difficult and time consuming by the looks of it. I have found the steps. But, i don' have the space or equipment to get it off the ground and remove a wheel

Well, I have spent some money and have this on its way:

Should keep me quiet fiddling for an afternoon.

Problem I have with it is when the cops have seen no plate it's too late, they will have pulled you , the plate will have been deployed and they will then investigate and determine it's a hidden/motorised plate and still fine you at that time for not showing a plate.

Leave it up round town, flip it down on motorways...if you get pulled, flip it up so its visible and play the lost numberplate card, simples.

I'm confused. Does this mean you're not going to help me remove my headlight Matt? :)

That won't cut the mustard here in N Wales. I know a traffic cop who says it's zero tolerance - even to looking for dirty screw holes to prove the plate was never on. Same goes for sticking it in the window and saying 'it fell off but I'm displaying it.' Having said all that its all about the laws of averages, they've got to see and stop you first....

Tried this but the curvature of the underside of the bumper combined with the low ride height meant that it didn't work. Looked more obvious that you'd think and would have hit every speed bump in the UK. So I took it straight back off. It was a different brand from the one in the video so slightly different design. Hopefully yours will be better.

It is amazing how far they will go to tax the average person.

If the plate is in the window, does it really matter?

I am prepared to cut the under tray and possibly 3d print some sort of wedge plinth mount.

The reason I am doing this as I have a copper round here that is a bit of a jobs worth and once he spots me, he'll be on my case!

So the kit has just arrived, it has a big license plate holder on it for a US plate (12x6").

As we do 3D modelling here now, I am going to model the conversion plate for a UK licence and 3D print it.

Its a very neat unit...not bored anymore now I have jobs to do :)
