No need, tow trucks usually have a set of free wheeling contraptions to put under wheels that are braked or in steering lock.
That's how the police tows cars away

If they came with crawlers *or* a truck *or* they knew how to put it in neutral without starting it, they knew what they were doing. Sort of my point.

Gutted for you, terrible news. Hopefully the forum network can help out as it seems not much happens with these cars without someone on here knowing about it, plus its such a distinctive car.

Just caught up with this
Really really bad
I have recently taken to keeping my house keys and car keys with me most/all the time even in the bedroom at night.
Hope there is a swift resolution to this mate, good luck

Terrible news, have any other cars been stolen in the area, about 10 years ago an organised gang targeted a number of cars on the estate where I live, they tried to steal a neighbours TT but couldn't get in the house, one guy had a range rover taken, they just opened the front door which he'd unlocked for his wife who did a 2~10 shift, when she came in at 10-15 she was surprised to see him and no car.

they did get about 10 cars though

Not me, keys are hung on the wall at the bottom of the stairs out of sight of the door, if they've gone so far as breaking in that's as far as I want them coming, plenty of have a go heroes in the graveyard, it's only metal and it's insured.

some years ago a friend of my wife came downstairs after a break in , when the police got there she said the cheeky gits even boiled the kettle for some tea

no love, that's what you'd have got if you'd come downstairs

****!! Newton. I'm so sorry to hear that. Based on the experience of others it seems likely that your cars are parked somewhere not more than 5 or 10 miles away from you waiting to see if the police find them. I hope they do. Chances are the cars will have been driven well - it's a stupid thief that runs the risk of being pulled over in a stolen car. I feel for you and your family, mate. Good luck.

Just woke up to this and I'm gutted for you Newton. Duly shared on Facebook and told irasema. I might be paranoid but I've got both my keys with me in Canada, it's in gear down a long driveway and it's narrow.
I feel sick

Bloody awful. Such a distinctive car and with our network here and overseas they can't just get rid, even if they take it apart we would surely see the influx of parts. Keep vigilant everyone and if nothing else catch the little w#nkers. I'm sure they can't do much with it, they can't ring it we would see the that.

Cheers all, Keep sharing on FB etc. Nothing on forensics, front door opened exactly as he expected to find! I think I have talked to all the various insurance companies involved at this time and I'm off to get a replacement front door barrel and keys!

One advantage of having to get premium insurance is odd things are covered like keys for the cars left behind.

The various insurers all seem to work at different time frames regards to how they want to proceed.

What a cr@p day...
