Mark,
A warm welcome, why are you just joining when selling, you should have become a member a while ago and joined in the fun. Are you getting another Maserati to replace this one, if so what..?? How long have you had her to enjoy..??
Cheers

Andy,
I thought this was a Gransport Spyder Anniversary, it's definitely not a 4200 Spyder, so what do you mean..??
Cheers

Such a rare and nice car.
It's not the one that was for sale a year ago on ebay?
Nothing wrong if it was!

It was never called a Gransport...That car came later...This was a Spyder 90th Anniversary........The word Gransport was never used in the title even though most advertise it as a Gransport even though it isn't...It may look like one and have most of the GS bits but it is certanly not a Gransport Spyder........

Thanks, yes I know exactly what it is. If it has to go in the garage until April then so be it but hopefully I'll have some interest

Look's like the new Alfa 4C is going to upset quite a few Lotus and Porsche owners:biggrin:

Is it a GranSport Spyder, or a Spyder..??

The more sporty look of the GranSport Spyder was anticipated by the adoption of new front and rear bumpers, together with more pronounced sill covers. This version of the Spyder also featured lightweight carbon-fibre rear roll-hoop fairings inlayed with attractive blue polyester strands embedded into the weave. Finished exclusively in the specific Blu Anniversary livery, the Spyder 90th Anniversary sported exclusive design features including distinctive oval Trident logos on the front wings, paying homage to the 250F driven by Fangio in the 1957 Formula 1 World Championship. Headlight cluster mountings were in contrasting grey, emphasising the profile of the bonnet and chrome door handles, ball-polished 19" rim wheels (with titanium coloured brake callipers), and the classic red-striped Trident adorning the front grille completed the exterior look.

Its a Spyder 90th Anniversary......Not a Gransport......Look at Maserati details and there is no mention of it being a Gransport....Don't get me wrong it is in all but name and a few bits missing but it was never called a Gransport. This car came out before the Gransport Spyder as an Anniversary model...They just took the Gransport bits off the Coupe as that came out at the same time to make this limited edition Anniversary model.

Not so sure....Don't think many Porsche owners we switch as its more an Elise type car with a few creature comforts from what Chris Harris has said.....Porsche owners will not like the stripped out look and built quality after there Porsche.......Lotus owners are in general very loyal and only a Lotus will do if you want a lightweight car......You bay get a few that switch because of those looks but don't think it will worry them too much as the 4C is not going to sell in great numbers so shouldn't worry sales.......plus Lotus sell sod all cars these days as they are priced too high and that is something Alfa need to be aware of with there lightweight car....45K plus.....But then I suppose Alfa will not have too much trouble semming the limited numbers they probably have planned. I would love to drive one mind you as it sounds a cracking car..I would just have to hide my eyes when walking past the front end so I don't look at those bloody ugly lights.....

Gents, I have a Maserati "Product Information & Pricing" book dated April 1st 2006 which clearly states it as a Maserati GranSport Spyder, discuss!. (If I had the technical ability I'd scan it and show you all!), ADG
