I haven't followed this thread in a while. To save me going through 65 odd pages, could you (or anyone who has the info to hand) please post the date of the xmas get together and the proposed/planned activities please? Last time I read this thread the plan was to go to the West Midlands and it appears things have changed a bit since then!
Miles, I appreciate that you have posted updates with those who are going but it might be an idea to post the latest itinerary as well - especially for muppets like me!

Hi Conaero & Hodroyd, yes I have an Eldorado White GT S MC SportLine, had the car around 3 months enjoying every min!!!
Sport Button is Bloody addictive!! will upload some pics soon! just wrapped the mirrors & handles in Carbon, not a complete match but still looks good

So that is karting, then Ace Cafe, then on to the Crowne Plaza Marlow, then the Italian all on the December 8th.
Friday night (7th) a few of us are booked in at the Premier Inn, Greenford, London, a short distance from the ACE Cafe for 10am in the morning of the 8th. Then we are all booked in at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow, for Saturday night. You can book this through such as trivago.com, or any other booking site for a better price. Then on to the Italian for I think it's about 7.30pm
If you need more just ask.
If you want to do Karting, let Miles know ASAP so he can book it for you.

Itinerary.
Friday PM.
Casual meeting at Premier Inn London Greenford for drinks, food and overnight accommodation for anyone interested.

1.30pm - Karting at TeamSport Karting, Edmonton, North London.

This is last years venue, it's indoor with petrol karts.
Because of increased numbers we will probably not be able to do the same event format (dependant on final numbers). If this is the case we will have to go for the Premier Exclusive format with an extra session to get to a final winner. Cost per driver is £63.95, but if no-one is bothered to get to a final winner it can be reduced to £45.95 per driver.
4.00pm - Head off for The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow.

The block booking rate they have come back with is £165 with breakfast and £155 without, but you can book via Trip Adviser etc for £103, though this too doesn't include breakfast and is the non-refundable rate with limited availability.
I can pursue the block booking route, but will need financial commitment from everyone quickly to secure it, as it's contracted, or alternatively everyone can book their own rooms at the prevailing best rate.
7.00pm - Drinks at hotel.
7.30pm - taxis.
8.00pm - Evening meal at Villa D-Este,Marlow.

We'll be choosing from the party menu, and I've told the restaurant we'll choose in advance of arriving, so I'll start a menu thread in due course. We'll also sort out a bar tab for drinks, so I suggest you budget on around £50.00 - £55.00 per head.
After this it's still a bit sketchy. If I can find a local pub that looks suitable, I suggest we retire there for after dinner drinks to avoid the horrendous rates at the hotel. If this happens, taxis will be arranged to pick us up from the pub for transport back to the hotel later.
Sunday - Lie in and hang-over brunch. We can either eat at the hotel, or I can try to find a suitable venue nearby. Those wanting to head off home directly can of course do so.
All hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday need to be booked individually.

Folks, i have been thinking of joining you hundreds of times. It's the mind that chooses now, not the heart, so i decided not to come and save my pounds for the Autumn factory tour. There is one "if" that would change my decision, this is an agreement i want to make at my business, where it'd be a reason for an extra celebration, aka a trip..
