What a weekend! Great work Miles for organising it. Ajay, myself and respective OH's had an awesome time. Meeting everyone at Ace, the karting, the meal and the convoys (oh the convoys!) between venues - what a memorable couple of days. The hotel was great too - had everything you could need. The girls really enjoyed the spa/leisure complex (as did we!) - was a great way to relax a bit before the drinking started. Really enjoyed the blast in Simon's Gransport from the karting venue to the hotel - what a machine that is. The set up to give it increased power is just right I reckon and turns the car into a real rocket ship - plus the interior is mint.
Really enjoyed meeting some old and new faces (I only met Frank/Parisien for the first time and can already tell the man is a real legend!). What a fantastic bunch we have on this community - long may it last.
Rob, I think you should be on Strictly mate, those dance moves were truly professional! I tried to film them but it was way too dark. You put all those youngsters in that pub to shame!
Matt/Dan, if my knee had been in a less precarious condition, I would definitely have wondered over to join you guys once the missus had flaked out - next time!
I didn't take that many pics - too busy enjoying it! But I'll try and post up a few if any good ones come out.
Cheers,
Dhanj
Hi Dhanj,
It was good to meet you and so many others at this first class event.
Simon,
If you don't mind me asking, what mods have you undertaken on your Gransport?
Regards,
Paul
Glad you enjoyed it Paul, a pleasure as always.
Simon has FD springs and spacers, FD Drive by Wire and Larini exhaust that consists of secondary de cat pipe, H pipe and valved rear boxes.
Matt,
Without doubt a happy atmosphere and splendid occasion.... I was even able to practice a few bird calls much to Dhanj's and the neigbouring tables astonstishment. Ha!
The set up with Simons Gransport sounds great. If it's the same car I do remember his Gransport performing like the starship enterprise during a French trip two or three years ago. Reminicing for a moment, on one part of the journey the group split up and I hadn't seen another member for ages when in the middle of rural nowhere Simon and Piper appeared at a roundabout at the same time as Carole and I in the QP, but we had approached from completely different directions! There was an exchange of observed glances followed by reciprocated laughter! It was just so simple but equally funny! Perhaps it is memories like this that help to make Maserati ownership the pleasure it is.
Regards,
Paul
Dhanj,
