Not keen on anything with more doors than passengers I am likley to carry, but I do need a decent boot and room in the back for 'stuff'...in summary a good GT car with lots of class that can still give me a smile when I am on my own down a B Road.
Sports Rover - too chavy
Porsche - to common
Boxter - to small
BMW - an every day car
So my options get smaller
Why does an XK fail on storage? We've had two, and I didn't think they were lacking in the boot department.
Jag XF? Great cars and don't come standard with pipe and slippers anymore.
Alfa 2.4 JTD 159 SportWagon TI spec.
Am thinking about one myself to replace the Alfa GT.
I would get another one in a heartbeat, had the 1.9 which was underpowered the 2.4 is a great car. My only worry is the rear seat fixing and ISOFIX, we had an accident in ours and the rear seat backs popped out of their fixings. If our little one had been in the car seat or we had rear passengers they would not have fared very well! The ISOFIX and seatbelts are integrated into the seatback.

Great car though and I really miss her.

I thought they had tiny boots, and miniscule back seats. I certainly stand to be corrected, though.

What precise car was that the Alfa Romeo estate please? Please confirm, as I will now never buy that car. That is a scary photo.
I aways thought that ISOFIX fixings were attached to the chassis rather than the seat. Unless the seat moving has sheared them?
Everything I read when I was looking for child seats said that isofix creates a direct connection between the child seat and the car chassis. Definitely worth taking back to the manufacturer if this happens and getting them to make it right.
