Road Trip to Monaco...Advice Please!

We have a lot of slow starters, we tend to hang on to nearer the time, then panic..!! I will think about when we have a slow period and maybe we could do a road trip and meet up. A day off for a few beers would be good too..??

agree. But a road trip needs time, organisation and money. In a slow period i could also suggest a weekend at some nice place near an airport...Geneve, Rome, Paris, Munich, Vienna...so many wonderful places for a quick beer :)

That's a really good idea, say for a long weekend, or even Friday to Sunday would be good. Somewhere we can all get cheap flights to would be brilliant for a booze up. I like Rome, Paris does not always have the weather, how about somewhere really cheesy like a coastal resort in Spain, or Portugal. Cheap booze and all the other stuff we would need, flights are usually cheap too.

What about Venice and Florence? I believe it's impossible to visit them with a car, much traffic, stone roads and no parking...So, it's our chance for a weekend, or?

Not much into Spain, but wouldn;t say no to Barcelona or Madrid or....Ibiza????? :)

Don't go to Barcelona in a Masser ffs.

Was there last month in the GS.
Wouldn't do it again.

Great city but fly there or leave car on the outskirts.

Rob, if it's about Ibiza, it should be until end of August, don't you think it's too close?

I would suggest some weekend in middle September/October. How does it sound?

OK so let's start with approximate dates between mid September and mid October, those interested (we might have to initiate a new thread for this) can then look around for the cheapest flights to wherever, put those in the pot and get votes from all which they would prefer. Once we have a majority in favour, we can then hunt for a reasonable Hotel base. How's that sound..??
