Rear tie rods and ball joint dust covers

Hey guys before I forget to post it here. I just ordered a bunch of the rear ball joint dust covers (have to order them in bulk to get them cheap enough). I know guys asked me in the past about them and I totally missed place my list so if you need some please let me know. They are all specially made so unfortunately they are $30 usd a piece but I guess when you have no options it's best to at least have someone do it.

Additionally, I haven't posted it on the U.S. forum yet but Formula Dynamics and I are in talks for them to exclusively sell the rear tie rod kits I make. I've sent them a kit for testing and I'm thinking we are going to finalize some sort of an agreement soon. I don't know yet what they will sell them for but I do know they will be the only one selling it. Please let me know if you want a kit before that happens. Even if I have to order the parts because I don't have enough now, I will tell them these orders will have to be put through before I stop selling them.

How much are the rear tie rod kits Craig from yourself?
I love FD, but know they will be much more expensive!

Okay no problem. Yes actually Chris if you are still here I could get them to you.

Okay great. I think you guys will really like the looks of them. If you want to PM me your Paypal address I can send you guys an invoice. I will mark them as gifts if you'd like if you want them shipped or we can get Chris involved as well and save you guys another $41 usd up to you either way.

Postage is not a deal breaker and chances are they would have to be posted on again when in the UK...anyway sounds like Chris will have his luggage full of other goodies, eh Chris?!

I've already fitted a set to mine and they are really very good. The rose joint takes out any play and stops any movement in the joint. Recommended.

Thank you for the recommendation Benny. I'm about to install a set on my GS as well. One of the first things I checked and couldn't believe was gone in a 26,000 mile car.

I get 'quite a lot' of luggage, and travel 'quite a lot' as well :)

At least that's the plan, the execs are possibly still being a bit sniffy about travel, but since I have direct reports there now, it's a bit dumb to not let me....

I'm in no rush for them, so will use the CatCase delivery if possible. If it turns out that doesn't happen, I'll just send the extra money for the postage Craig.

I have a set in my car as well. Haven't fully tested them yet but the first impressions are great, as well as eliminating the play on the wheels, the car feels more planted. The rear end seems to let go in a more progressive way.
Really happy :)

Hi Craig,

can you put me down for a full set of the ball joint covers please. I'm just about to fit the track rod ends you sent so this is great timing for me!

Olly! hey brother no problem. I gotcha. I think you will be just as happy as the others including myself.

Drewf just sent you an invoice, and it was nice to have a beer with Chris, so I don't mind having another!

Funny story there we walk out to the GranSport after a beer and I have a big fat parking ticket on the car. I checked the ticket and the Meter Maid must have been watching me from around the block. $25 usd! In Cambridge the meters stop at 6-7 pm so you don't have to pay any longer. Boston is 24 hours. In either, case I would gladly pay it again to sit down with Chris. **** we could sit by the window and laugh when they stick it on there!

@Aredes thank you for the update!

To make things clear, are you talking about the parts that maserati should sell seperately, but she keeps on selling the complete arm, charging 2000 euros?

Yes absolutely, one and the same. It's why I felt it was necessary to have an aftermarket alternative back when I originally found the issue on my Spyder and almost lost control of the car when I attempted to pass someone.

Additionally it's the same with those ball joint covers. The rear ball joints have a wider than normal top and bottom seat. I literally tried 10-20 different dust covers looking for one that was already made. I even contacted the biggest distributor for after market dust covers in the U.S. No dice. I tried retrofitting and cutting one to make it work. That wouldn't work. I finally had some one specially make them just so I could protect the ball joints on, at least at that time, a 20,000 mile car. There's a guy in the U.S. that has a 9,000 mile car that just purchased the dust covers from me for the same reason. With the cars sitting the dust covers deteriorate. If you don't protect the ball joints you will be replacing the entire control arm.

I would like a rear tie rod please.

PM me your email linked to your PayPal. I will ship these out first thing Monday morning. It should with Express International Mail be at your door in 5-6 working days. Sometimes sooner. It's the fastest shipping rate we have through USPS. If you can wait and you see Chris I can give him your set as well instead of shipping.

Yep - shame I hadn't realised you were still selling these a couple of weeks ago, before I shelled out £1650 on a new one from Maserati...

Still, I'll soon have a pair ready for the next failure!
