Contracts...... I did not realise EOM 30 on my contract meant I would get paid 30 days after the month I invoiced for, therefore, I have no income from March until 31st May, 12 weeks work, no pay in reality, invoicing weekly now, just means May 31st will be my biggest pay packet......ever!!
And I am digging into reserves money now, and the missus getting finished is icing on cake!!!

My rant is about the nonsense you find on the internet when you decide to try and look up what "rant" was meant to mean.

For example:

I shall now tell you how awful rants are, they are the bain of humans. If rants were plentiful humans would become extinct! Extinct I say!! Humans also need to pick cherries with automated cherry pickers as this results in more plentiful harvests resulting in more people whos brains have been nourished by cherries and intelligent cherry nourished people are less likely to rant than those raised on blueberry farms, because they are subjected to blueberry fumes, and they are toxic, like non-toxic glue. Made of horse hooves. Horses can also help prevent rants as you cannot rant while riding a horse and you can't ride a horse if there aren't horses because they have all been made into non-toxic glue. Do you understand rants now?

WTF??!

People that park outside my drive gates every day so blocking my access.
It is a daily event as care workers visit my lovely next door neighbour who is wheel chair bound but even so I live on a long road and there are plenty of other opportunities available.
When I am really wound up I leave a curt message on their windscreen.
It is really lack of consideration for other people

many years ago my neighbour John was the manager of a builders merchants next to a railway station , got into work at 7am and some tool had parked a BMW 1/2 way across their gate so they couldn't get the truck out , he rang the police who weren't interested, said all they'd do is put a ticket on it so John got the huge fork truck out, wrapped the forks with cloth sacking and picked it up

he put it on the other side of the road on between a tree and a lamp post with about 2" either end

It was there for days, a traffic warden stuck many tickets on it then one day it was gone but there were 2 black marks on the road where it'd been dragged out sideways

We used to have a neighbour who parked his van literally in front of our front door (you can see our door in my profile pic). Alex asked him politely to move it, at which point he got a bit lary with Alex which I wasn't having, so I politely (or maybe not) suggested he move his van before I pushed it out of the way with his face.

He moved it shortly afterwards. Then moved house.
I'm not normally an angry or aggressive person, but you start on my missus and you can expect everything that's coming to you!

PS. Matt, after our chat on Saturday are you going to add "SM complaints department" to my profile?

So what do you do here? This was on the eve of me leaving for LeMans...

I've since painted and reattached the gates and cleaned the pathway and tidied up the garden.

Open her up. Release the handbrake and roll her forward so you can get out.
Ambulances are always unlocked.

Just now
1st Green waste Bin collection
or rather
Not 1st Green waste Bin collection!
Admittedly one was on the heavy side, but I managed to position the **** thing and I am no Charlie Atlas
I remember the old days when council turned up slung the galvanized bin on his shoulder and walked to a small lorry to empty said bin.
Now the lorries are 10 tonnes, flashing lights, hydraulic assisted wheeled bins, 4 bin men plus driver and they still will not do it!
Double Plus Ungood! as my mate Orwell may have said
