Yeah. Or just swap to the fixed rate oem, or MC version. If I was looking at 2K for x2 shocks Id just go KW V3 coilovers , get them set up properly, fit and forget etc.

Although, I assume with either of those options some trickery would be needed to 'turn off' sky hook or you'd have dash lights I would think.
Sadly SI could not delete TPMS from my 2008 QPV when they tried, so things are not always as straight forward as they may seem!If SI can map out TPMS, surely you have the car think its got GTS style fixed rate dampers instead of Skyhook
Arent they about £300 though? Bit expensive for a resistor pack !

It’s this one. The connector looks similar but could be something else entirely or as you say potentially spare…

VERTICAL ACCELERATION SENSOR
Suitable for cars with: Skyhook System.
Easiest way is with a hydraulic press or use two sockets in a vice.Hi Guys,
Had a bit of a delay as I was missing a strut nut tool or offset spanner.
Sorry, this is the first time I’ve done this so I have another question. Can I reuse the ball joint? Appears in good condition other than being a little greasy.
Do I need a special tool to do it or do they pop out with a bit of a pressure?
Other way round. Find a rough road and see if the ride hardens if you press Sport. FWIW lots of MC Shifts have skyhook too as a cost extra.Hmm, no I’m doubting it but I really didn’t think I did.
It definitely looks more like the skyhook version but I thought the 4.7 mc-shift came with it but the auto didn’t.
How do I check without jacking up the car and taking the wheel off?
Do you see anything in the console to indicate skyhook? I’ve never seen anything to suggest I have it.
