That's the puppy. I expect that a significant proportion of the forum are now humming 'da-da da-da da-da da-da dadada da-da da-da da-daaaaaa *dum*'

Or if they weren't they are now :>

Holy ****, I just watched that advert! How times have changed!

C

Used to love that ad - not so the squash though.
Anyone remember Just Juice?
Used to sponsor the BB league.
Doubt anyone will be humming this one

No cow magnets. One of the most bizarre things I've ever read about :D

C

My word - that is odd. Imagine trying to explain this to the cow. Hold on a sec my friend - just going to shove this huge magnet up your .... Ouch.

An old Smith & Jones sketch where they played Customs officers. Retrieving various articles from a smuggler's orifice. They would cut back to this throughout the programme as more & more contraband was discovered. Drugs, coat hanger, camera (with tripod). At the very end of the show the distant sound of "So here it is Merry Christmas everybody's having fun". They look at each other and say - so that's what happened to Slade :D

Monsanto are huge in GM crops so something to do with animal feed taht cows don't like????

Prior to agrochemical activity Monsanto were primarily a chemical engineering operation. But a perfectly reasonable guess given the less than helpful clues\red herrings. This is really nothing to do with food or drink - I've struggling to think of a clue without giving it a way. Even if cows won't like it Terry Venables did.

I think you have given me a couple of clues there.

Farmers market but the cows dont like it. Terry Venables did.

If my random thought process is right then this is a really turf question. :)

Fake grass or Astro turf. Terry Venables being at QPR when they had the pitch installed.

Not sure why its a topical now. The rest seems to fit with my thought process.

This is indeed a "grass" question. You're quite right with your logic sir.

Glad the "clues" helped and a large step in the right direction. "Chemgrass" was indeed developed by Monsanto in conjunction with the Ford Foundation. Why might it have become known as "Astroturf" and why might this be topical are closely linked.

I would guess it was used in the USA first for American football pitches. Other than that i have nothing.
