Question of the day

<mode = debate>

I don't think it's clear at all. If by 'craft' you wish to imply something built to carry passengers, then the question is a tautology. No other species has ever made anything to carry people. If you don't mean that to exclude those devices which are un-crewed, then you might as well say 'object'

Is that helping at all? ;)

Remind me why do I frequent this place ?

Oh now I remember it is full of pedantic people who aren't welcome anywhere else - a bit like myself ;)

For manned aircraft I would say Bell X15 - reached Mach 6

Edited because I didn't read the question - clearly a moon rocket was faster and it had people in it

I'll better just f@@k off!

Surprisingly no correct answers but some going in the right direction but to help you out we are talking unmanned craft

Voyagers 1 and 2, and the Pioneers 10 and 11 are pretty close to the edge. Some are now dead not sure which but they have been going for 40 years not bad for 70's technology, anyone still using a Apple II?

I have an educated guess the year to be about 1918 after it was realised women could do the same jobs as men during WW1.
She must have been a suffrage supporter or links with that
