Question of the day

Apparently the term OK.

The term appears to have achieved national prominence in 1840, when supporters of the American Democratic political party claimed during the 1840 United States presidential election that it stood for "Old Kinderhook," a nickname for a Democratic presidential candidate, Martin Van Buren, a native of Kinderhook, New York, who was Andrew Jackson's protégé. "'Vote for OK' was snappier than using his Dutch name."[13] In response, Whig opponents attributed OK, in the sense of "Oll Korrect," to Andrew Jackson's bad spelling.

Good question, had us all stumped. I even looked at Wikipedia for inspiration as this question was playing on my mind. Btw Martin Van Buren is a good 'Pointless' answer.
I take it that it's an open house for the next question?
If so I'll set an easy one that will make you think.
12 men have stood on the moon, but how many are still alive?

I think 8 - Irwin, Shepherd & Armstrong have all died but I am sure there is one more but I can't think who at the moment.

As of writing 8 are still with us, but with all of the astronauts being born in the 1930's they are a dwindling number and soon no one will have stood on another mass of rock other than the earth.
Unless we get our fingers out with rescuing Matt Damon

We don't need rescuing - Conaero and I are very happy!

Music question this is a partial line from a UK top 10 hit. Can you name the song and artist.

The partial line is " to have a flying umbrella"

Was it a children's record with a bunch of animals? Something sounds familiar about hopping and a stick?
