Just got off the phone from Brugge taking to a friend who works at Ferrari Gent and he tells me GSs and late QP Sport GTs with duoselect are on the up and are seen as the ones to bet on.

Maybe I'll hang on to mine for a little longer afterall..

....yes....I get my Leonidas ( best value/compromise compared to very expensive chocs) fix every time I go there, plus to France plus from that mail order Jersey company.....however Leonidas is nearly 50% cheaper in Belgium than in France!!!

Been to Brussels a few times and I love the beer. All the different types, Lambic, Brun, Gueuze, Faro, Kriek etc.... wow

I found a place called Delirium Cafe and they hold the world record for most types of beer on the menu at a whopping 2004 varieties. Great atmosphere too and live music on the odd night.

All joking aside........god forbid that would ever happen here..........maybe the market has woken up to the fact that we have seen the last of the proper masers and are now moving into the diminishing of the marque due to volume requirements and the pandering to new markets where bling and every day use is required.

Interesting that down the road they have pegged production at 6000 a year to preserve exclusivity which had an immediate impact on used values with 360 CSs zooming towards 200k for tidy versions and 430 scuds going up like house prices in the 80s.

Maybe the same will happen to masers upto the GT because beyond that they ain't very special, good yes ut not special. IMO with respect.

Went to a place over there a few years ago which has different brand glasses for each of the their beers...to stop people stealing them you have to surrender a shoe which they hauled up to the ceiling in a basket...stops you doing a runner I guess.

I would appreciate that if this car and others were being sold by a mark specialist...but when put next to a Focus and Honda at the same garage...it strikes me of just trying to cash in...unless when viewed they can tell you warts and all about the car and the brand, then they just have a posh car they want to shift at a big mark up.

Well said, Pete. I remember Dem checking out a seemingly overpriced GS (MCV?) for me at a non-specialist garage. We had no idea of what checks had been run on the car, yet the guy wouldn't budge on his high price. With a dealer or an indie, you can be reasonably sure that they will have run the SD2/3 over it, checked the clutch wear, etc.

When I sold my 3200, the indie I sold through found some mechanical problems I was unaware of, and corrected them before reselling. That is how it should be. I'll bet there are a few garages out there who would just give a car a cursory look-over, buff it up, attach some 3rd party warranty, and then tell everyone what a perfect example the car is, etc. Call me a cynic ...

I wouldn't fancy hopping to the toilet at the best of times, let alone after a few belgian beers ...

I absolutely agree with you - buyer beware!
