Check Drew's signature Lee.
Oh yeah. Whoops! Maybe things were different in the 1800s?

And the other truth (for me anyway - please done beat me up together) is that had a 458 or California or F12 been available for 100k new I would be in one of those right now. Ok maybe not the California......
Thanks

My FF will when it arrives
Not sure what your point is Lee? Are we excluding older Ferrari's in this discussion?
I *think* I prefer the sight and sound of the GTS. But I'd not chuck an FF in that granitey colour out of my dream garage, that's for sure. Thing is, it's a far newer car than mine and would cost 2 or 3x as much to buy.
So perhaps a Maserati really is a poor man's Ferrari..? No. I still think they're adequately different.

Fight fire with fire.Hi guys,
I've had a couple of people call my Maserati a 'poor man's Ferrari'. Does anyone have a clever response that I can use that will put these people in their place? Poor man's Ferrari? Seriously?
All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Fight fire with fire.
Smile,
Ask them what they drive.
Laugh and Respond, "that's a poor mans car!"
Walk away.
Cheers Wattie
I suppose I could have stretched to a 612 but I think the GT is so much nicer looking.
Mainly my point was that I didn't notice that he had had one, old or otherwise.
The remark about the 1800s was just a jovial nothing comment, as I do not believe that people spit at Ferraris or generally hate them when they see them, now or in the past. I have encountered some hostility with regards Ferraris and Lamborghinis etc but only really directed at me by anonymous internet posters who (I suspect) can't afford them and therefor think anyone who has one is bragging and flashy.
I imagine that the same type of people would have a similar view of Maseratis.
Like I said, I am just surprised there is so much of the anti Ferrari nonsense on here.
