Result at last, your tenacity is to be admired,
A lot of people would have just sucked it up and took it on the chin..

Thanks Lads, I did my research and thanks to a very good solicitor who only charged me £38 for an hours consultation, I could then push ahead knowing that the law was on my side, then it was just a matter of patience which I rarely have but knew that I had to be on this occasion.

It wasn't about the money but the principle, although going star chasing next week in the middle of the Alpujarra Mountains in a remote region of Southern Spain, it will just make the wine taste so much better knowing that it has been funded by Frixou :) I just hope that I will be able to focus properly ;-)

Great news John, I'm sure you'll now be able to fully enjoy your car without that saga going on in the back of your mind.

I'm really pleased for you, John. Star chasing in Spain sounds amazing! I wish I could do that.

Thanks All :)

Yep Stevie, been planning this since October, even bought a smaller Motorised mount to fix my Leica to so I can get some good images of the Milky Way, my main mount would have taken me far in excess of my baggage limit, just hope I can remember everything I have been learning, will let you know how it goes, you never know if we can find some dark areas around you then could bring my kit down to you sometime and see what we can produce.

It sounds like stubbornness on his part , there's a lot of it about , the garage I use ended up storing a car for months while the finance company and car sales place argued who was paying ,in the end the finance sold the car for salvage, the guy that bought it was completely unreasonable about the £400 storage fee , shouting and screaming on the phone

Steve kept his cool until he got the £400 then let the transport company take it, as he drove away he said to me , if he hadn't been such a dick I'd have taken £200

I'm glad its sorted , you'll have to post some pictures up of the stars when you get back

I went to Egypt 20 years ago, no light pollution makes a huge difference , I'd never seen so many stars

Cheers Lads, and yes Terry, there was never going to be one chance of the B@stard grinding me down, especially when I knew the law was on my side :)

Yep Darren I'm going to try and do more and more this year with the photography and Astrophotography especially, the only problem is that the nearest area to me with less light pollution is Cannock Chase and I can see my getting my telescopes out and getting them wrapped around my neck as it is well known in the area for Dogging! :)

Oh John, that would be amazing! Yes we do have some pretty good spots around here at times so I'll hold you to that. I love the night sky.

I'm not joining you when you use your telescope with automated tracking to get closeups on people dogging in public.

I doubt you'll need a telescope , I believe audience participation is more what they're looking for

Well done on your result.

Lot of grief to go for just because some people cannot admit they are wrong.

It's interesting to note that of the 5 Google reviews of that place, 4 came within the space of two days.

How convenient.

Speaking from experience then Darren?:lol2:

JohnC I'm not surprised, I won't certainly be recommending them!
