Well, I went to see this car today, and met Loz for the first time who came to check it out with me. First off, big thanks to Loz, I hope you didn't think it was a waste of time... And cheers for all your guidance. Love your car also, sounds and looks incredible!
I would warn anyone off this car it's absolute junk! The repair is half done, and what is done is seriously bodged. Poor panel gaps, poor paint all round the car and most worryingly the inlet manifold had been smashed in the crash and, bondo'd back together and sealed with silicone. I've had 150000 mile ratty drift cars that look better under the hood! It also had all the under bonnet plastic trim missing... Bolts missing off the rocker cover, what looks like a buckled pully on the from of the engine... And that's just on the surface.
If the cyclinder heads have been hit that hard and the air bags gone off gosh knows what else is under there. Even if it was offered to me at half the asking price, I'd walk... It's one 4200 that would be better off stripped for parts to help all the good honest cars say alive longer. It really is a case of 'you spend peanuts, you get monkeys'!
So, moral of the story... Don't scrimp, invest... That's my plan. I've come from a culture of buy and fix, but this was on a whole new level
I'm not rushing, got a load of cars to enjoy until I find the right 4200. Hope you lot don't mind me lurking on here until I fully join the fold!
