Hi Folks,

I might just be interested in a Spyder if anyone has one going begging?
Thinking of a 2002 to 2004 era, with low to average mileage, service record and tip top all round.
Anybody have one ready to move on, let me know, I might just be a BUYER.

Cheers

Hi Dicky,

I'm not known to be bashful, jump in and get your feet wet, they will always dry?? My reason for announcing on here, is that I trust the sincerity of most members and usually the cars are in goodstate, being looked after.
Thanks for the wink, wink Dicky, appreciated.

Actually looks quite tidy that one Dicky (from the photo's) and the mileage is low, may be worth a punt, thanks. NAF WHEELS THOUGH!!!

Cheers

Thought that would be why you'd posted, would've thought our members would be straight about what they're selling. There aren't many members who own Spyders though, BennyD will never sell his and there's only 6 or 7 other UK forum members of the 12 4200 Spyders, you only need one though!

This one is only a GT, I would have preferred the Cambiocorsa, it does not seem to have a CD Multichanger and the wheels just don't look that nice, but I'm interested if I can do a deal, we will see??

There is a pale blue 'vintage' 4200 in Kent that looks ok on the photos, but no idea what it's like first hand.

So is the 4200 spyder really rarer in the UK than the Gran Sport spyder?
I recall some posts on here last year where it was said that only approximately 26 Gran Sport spyders were brought into the UK (although some of these may have now been written off or exported)
I would have guessed that a fair few 4200 spyders would originally have brought to the UK - so was very surprised to hear there are so few around.

There's loads more 4200 Spyders than Gransport Spyders, I was simply talking about members of this forum who owned one. Someone did suggest earlier there were 26 GS Spyders in the UK, I know where 4 are, that's all, a very rare car. I'm not sure if there's 26, I know of 5/12 MC victory cars that are/were in the uk but not so many Spyders and there's apparently twice as many. Woody is the Gransport Coupe expert but not sure how much he knows about GS Spyders, the Dvla record is woefully inaccurate but I'm sure someone will be along soon to shed some light on the matter.

Hi Safrane,

Where is the pale blue one listed, is the one at silly money on eBay?

That grey one looks lovely. Very nice combo and post upgrade but manual. Personally I much prefer the 7 spokes to the earlier 3200 AC type but, as always, horses for courses.

7 spokes are a damm sight easier to clean than the earlier one i can tell you , but looks wise the earlier wheels suit the car more IMHO that is , after 6 years of cleaning them , the GS wheels although pretty are also a pain to clean , maybe its an age thing , next time im getting mine sprayed brakedust brown mat finish

regards loz

Looks to me as though the GT had the more bland wheels compared to the Cambiocorsa wheels, which I sort of prefer as they are close to the AC wheels. Yes we all have our little preferences. I think a Spyder could look nice with chromed wheels also, but that's just me.
Loz, I agree the 7 spoke may be easier to clean, but it's the look at the end of the day when you have finished cleaning and you stand back to admire your work!!
The grey one is basically sold to an overseas buyer, but have not paid or collected yet. They reduced the price to the one advertised recently and in Dicky's note to me.

I think they look great in that colour. Not a fan of the special edition wing vents at all though - they look quite tacky and aftermarket.

Must say Nige I though the same on the vents...Then I had Marks 4200 (now Brendans) for a week and they look really good on a black car....

Yeah, I've never seen them other than in pics to be honest, so hopefully they look better 'in the flesh'.
