Are the chairs for the MCV unique for that model, or do all GranSport have those? Searched a bit on google but could not find it...
Really love those seats!

They’re MCV or MC12, £10k+ each and you’ll not find any on the used market.

That does look very nice - just convinces me I want an MCV at some point in the future. Who would like to sell me one?

Well I missed out on my car once and bought it the next time it came up for sale - so not me - sorry!

In the U.K. we tend to see one car per year appear on the market. You just need to be ready to jump when the opportunity arrives.

I got lucky with mine. I went to Emblem one day to take one of my cars for a service and saw an MCV parked outside. After a quick chat with Myles it transpired that the long term owner was, perhaps, beginning to think of the possibility of selling. A quick phone call, there and then, secured the deal and the car was mine, before it had a chance to hit the open market.

Stay in touch with Dicky Grace, as he is as on-the-ball as anyone when it comes to the availability of these.

Different steering rack and internal engine parts from the Trofeo cars are the main mechanical differences. It really is quite a different driving experience to a normal GS. And the seats alone are a five figure sum! The blue threaded carbon is unique to the MCV and the alcantara interior is different to the usual GS also. The MCV is the most sporty version of the GS and all the better (and more valuable) because of it.

That's interesting, I thought it was only interior and exterior trim not engine and steering differences.

I'd like to ‘have a go' in one to see the difference

The GS is 10bhp up on a 4200 as I understand it mainly down to exhaust differences I thought. I don't think 10bhp will be noticeable. You could get that difference on one 4200 to another 4200 or one GS to another GS.

My GS is noticeably less powered than the 4200 was, I did a lot of ‘freeing up’ like the induction and exhaust, iridium plugs and the previous owner it turns out had removed the front cats. The GS is stock at the moment.

One thing for sure from my experiences working on many 4200 and GS models both my high mileage cars are noticeably quicker than the low mileage show cars that don't get used lots.
Nothing better than a good long road trip to loosen them up nicely :)

I was some years ago on a factory tour at Maserati. The 4200/GS still in production. The guide told me that their test cars, which typically were analysed after 75 000 km normally had more power than when new, and more than rated on spec.
